Food was ready within 4 Minutes of ordering,
Quite possibly the worst Chinese Takeout, I’ve ever experienced.
The duck was slimy and fatty and smelt awful, the Chicken chow mein was as bland as cardboard.
Avoid at all costs.
When 3 dishes of 'Chinese' food are cooked in under 4 minutes - along with phone orders - then you know you're in for a grim experience. The owner was disinterested when he took the order. No greeting, no thanks...nothing. I had to stop by the local Co-Op to buy soy sauce and chillies.
I asked for some extra heat with the meal - no acknowledgement. It was, without doubt, the worst 'Chinese' experience I have ever had. And I have lived in SE Asia for 58 years. Bland, spice-less, flavour-less. Just plain awful. And 16 Pounds for a sweet corn soup, egg fried rice and Salt n Pepper Chicken or something. They're taking the p and should be embarrassed to claim this is from their heritage. Go to Hong Kong, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur to find out how Cantonese cooking should be. Or maybe this is the way Brits like their 'Chinese' food?
I cannot understand why there are so many bad reviews here, I have not been back here for ages and that is only because my family and I have laid off takeaways. Tonight I treated myself to a hkh, as always it was great as before thanks to memorable meals from here in the past, I drive past many takeaways to come here I live 7 miles away and always return here chilli beef, chilli pork, and duckling an egg fried rice always amazing thankyou again, miss seeing dad pat there but even after a few months they still remembered my name amazing thankyou - big john
Very reasonably priced. Good sized portions but most of all full of flavour.
Good food, but hardly ever get the order right, we usually get home and find there's something missing. We let it slip the first 2 or 3 times but it happened again recently, so we're not going to bother any more.
One of my favourite Chinese take aways in the area.. salt and pepper anything is the best iv ever had anywhere .. also dose a really good curry. X
Up there with probably one of the grossest Chinese’s I’ve had. Didn’t think it was possible to make a poor chicken chow mien but there we go. It was watery and lacked flavour. Curry sauce was very stodgy and large spring roll also tasted a bit odd. Could see plenty of staff in the back cooking so really surprised how poor this turned out. I don’t enjoy writing a negative review but I was majorly disappointed after craving a proper Chinese! 1 star for speed.
Have been going there for years and the food has always been good. Tonight was a big disappointment, when I phoned the lad did not seem to grasp what I was ordering. I ordered chicken chow mein with peppers and black been sauce and a curry. The chow mein chicken was tough and the sauce tasted like gravy . To top it all there was another box with chicken noodles and bean sprouts that I didn’t want but ended up paying for. Very disappointed.
