Ordered chicken fried rice - got instead boiled rice with boiled peas and chicken. That ain’t FRIED rice . Looked plain and neutral I mean I used to order from here quite often this was very bad . Would normally don’t review this bad but this was like after trying to inform them of this (on phone )many times and no one answered. Also Remembering one time when the staff was sorta rude when I came late to get my takeaway . He told me like “ I told you the food will be ready in 10 min and you’re late “ what an audacity when it was heavily raining and I had to wait a bit to get out of my home . Also Its my call when to come in to collect , not his , after all I wasn’t complaining the food wnt cold ! ????
This was my first order with Hong Kong Chef, the staff are welcoming and friendly. The food arrived quickly. Got home and wow, set meal for one was lovely and good value for the price. Vegetables spring rolls where will done and not greasy. My favorite of all was the chicken skewerd with sartey sauce.
Lived in the area for nearly 20 years and so happy to discovery this little gem. Please support your local take aways and forget about Mc Donald's, KFC and all the other franchises
Singapore noodles is the best . Chicken in Lemon sauce but that great . Heard squid pepper fry is good , haven’t tried but will definitely do . A good place in Rayleigh for a Chinese take away .
Should not have continued taking orders. Waaay too busy. Was told one hour and thirty minutes in that our driver had left; almost 3 hours later we receive the food. This wasn’t because of the delivery driver; but because our food clearly wasn’t even being cooked at that point. The food came hot and fresh. The food is always great. The lady on the phone was rude which didn’t help matters, though you can tell she was very stressed. Honesty goes a long way and I feel tonight at-least that is what was missing.
Chow meins are always plentiful and really tasty. And the satay sauce is amazing. Live close come here often it's always spot on. Fast and friendly service

Tried this place based on reviews- insane! Always piping hot! Fresh! Just had my first delivery from them - piping hot still! Unreal food! Decent prices. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now
Food here is excellent told to collect in 20 to 30 mins. Turned up after 30 mins but had to wait another 40 mins at restaurant for a collection order. Should manage the through put of kitchen better. If had been told a wait time that better reflected what I experienced still would have ordered but may have sorted my 7 year old out another way.
