Brilliant experience today. Kindness of strangers. Enquiring about taxis in his shop. About to walk down to Pin Mill with suitcase. (Not that easy through gates over stiles!) James asked if I wanted to leave my suitcase with him until catching cab. Fantastic. And on his shop, wish it was my local. Bought some local honey....and would have liked to buy meat and veg if not in transit, and without car.
I went in to the shop to buy a few things on the way to Shotley. I was a little daunted at first but a nice young man who I thinks name was Declan helped me out and showed me around, putting everything I needed into a basket for me. He then took it to the till and packed everything into a bag putting the heaviest items to the bottom (good packing). He then escorted me to my car and waved me off. Brilliant store, would recommend.
Great shop! For a village store, it exceeds all expectations. Products range from fresh fruit, veg and bakery products to very top quality meat and everyday supplies. Working there is a joy too. All staff have a friendly face and are easy to talk to about any enquires to do with the shop or just to have a chat with. Everything is very clean and tidy, and has very clear walkways so it has easy access. Customers are just as good as the staff!!
Idea for picking up fresh local produce as well as logs and bags of coal oergect for keeping your home cosy and warm . the usual day to day items . Home made sandwiches, pies and sausages rolls . Those last minute items you tend to run out off , and of course the post office is within..
It is always an absolute delight to shop here, the food is delicious, they have everything you need, everyone is so friendly and the person serving very kindly helped me with packing. I walked there from Woolverstone and it was worth every step. Thank you.
I came in today and met a very polite young lad called Declan, he even packed my bag for me and showed me where the flour is, great service!
Visited this shop for first time today; really impressed by variety of produce and top marks to the lovely young woman who was serving in shop and post office - thank you for being so helpful and friendly.
This is a great village shop for us and visiting sailors to Pin Mill and Woolverstone. It has a great butchers, fresh vegetables, good choice of dry foods and fresh breads each day. Meat is particularly excellent as is the service.
