Good scones and great price for a set menu. Cream tea was lovely and service was fast. No real interaction with the staff, just stood in line and gave them the money for our food. Find your own spot to sit. Plenty of seating areas and tables were clean. You can also buy take away pastries!
It's a really nice place to have traditional hot pie. Ordered curry chicken hot pie, fantastic with that sauce. Beautiful unicorn fantasy cake, not so sweet, which is delicious
Great place for afternoon tea and cakes..... Even do proper cream teas.... So much better than Cafe Nero which is a couple of doors down.... Impromptu stop and well worth it.... Super desserts and cakes
The vibe of vintage and ancient fits the historical city quite well. Liked the consistency in design, decoration, and the staff's uniform.
We went for cream tea, which my friend chose; I had Irish coffee. Scone were ok, but not soft enough, in my opinion. My coffee was a bit more bitter than I thought for that type of drink. Ordered a slice of cake, which was also quite ok, went well with the drinks.
There was a long waiting line. There were tables for groups of 4 and above, rather than 2. So, if 2 people occupy a table of 4, it will reduce the effectiveness of sitting other groups.
The service was a bit chaotic; the one took our order was a bit unfriendly, yet we got what we wanted at the end.
Stopped for a impromptu snack on our day in Stratford. We stopped as the window display of cakes was amazing, the Giant scone really looked delicious.
We were welcomed by a staff member and seated quickly. The counter staff were polite, courteous and very efficient, cutting through a busy line with little waiting.
We placed our order and it was quickly prepared, the food was incredible. The Giant scone lived up to our eyes expectation and was so filling, you wont need anything else!
The restaurant was very busy and clean and tidy. The restaurant is also dog friendly which is a plus for owners.
Overall I would highly recommend Hobsons Patisseries for either a brief snack or a lunch menu that has a wide variety of reasonably priced meals.
Well, the staff was friendly and kind. The menu was affordable, and its scone with strawberries was amazing! The taste of coffee was something that I didn't like at all.
Something else I didn't like was the behaviour of the manager. I understand that he tries to do his best and to serve everyone, but it isn't kind to be all the time near the tables and to check if someone finished with his/her food& coffee; i was only 45 minutes there.
If you want a coffee and a cake. This is the best place. The cakes are huge at a reasonable price. Coffee is lovely. They do hot and cold food. Definitely will be returning.
Good old fashioned service from the staff. The door was held open for us and a table found, service was very fast. The whole place has a, lovely atmosphere, low beamed ceilings etc. Now for the food... Oh my goodness!!! It is unbelievably delicious and fresh, well worth the money which wasn't extortionate unlike other places. Let's me put it this was. We had a large pot of tea, large coffee, 2 scones with cream and jam for what I'd have paid for 2 lacklustre coffees from a certain franchise. This is our favourite place every time we visit.
