This place is a hidden gem! Their curry is bar none the best I've ever had and goes with everything ????
Ordered:
Fish & chips + side order of curry to go so it wouldn't turn soggy & prawn toast.
The curry here is a game changer for the fish and chips! I've been to the 1k+ reviewed fish and chip shops in london only to be let down by the uninspiring basics that every shop had.
Never knew prawn toast existed much less needed it in my life. The prawn flavor really came through and after having tried other places afterwards I've realized the portion size was larger than everywhere else too ????
Tried this chippy first time as I'm fussy with hygiene ratings now afyer being food poisoned their rating on door and recent sept 2023. Nice service wasn't many people in like most places so was wary to try. Had craving for fried rice and chips and curry so got that.. Sad when got home to find give me wrong rice was boiled ???????? not fried. But overall food was OK except hardly no curry but guess could ask for extra.. Massive menu though so maybe another visit sometime..

I’ve been using Hing Wah for years. I remember the little boy who then grew up and would chat to me whilst I was waiting for my order. He was so friendly and efficient. My best mate used to sing your praises to anyone who would listen, he moved to north Manchester and would still come back to Reddish for a Hing Wah. Good family run business. Best I’ve come across for chips, fish, curry etc.
I used to live almost opposite and now in Dane Bank... we have used the Hing Wah for over 40 years on and off. Never disappoints.
Best chippy in reddish, very friendly lady om counter, fish freshly cooked to order, highly recommended
Really enjoy the sweet and sour chicken from here. The batter is nice and thin but crispy. Would definitely recommend.
Order from here most Fridays! Just wish they delivered or had an online presence so we can check the menu.
The food is great, best chips in Reddish.
