Went to the takeaway this evening and got tofu in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken, Cantonese style and salt and pepper chips.
The tofu was like eating a sponge, although the black bean sauce was quite tasty. But the sweet and sour chicken was inedible. It was slithers of chicken coated in thick batter and a gloopy sauce. Really disappointing, it went in the bin. The salt and pepper chips had a nice flavour, but the chips were hard, only ate a handful, the rest went in the bin. The nicest thing was the free prawn crackers.
Wouldn't order from them again.
Foods gone up in price and down in quality used to like it here and wouldn't order anywhere else but recently foods gone down hill and up in price poor quality cold dishes found a hair in my rice and a raw prawn that felt frozen
Good tasty quality food with plenty of meat included. And ready at the time given. Thanks
Ordered chicken bamboo shoots in oyster sauce egg fried rice and spring rolls.
What can I say great food great service
Great food and really tasty, quality ingredients ????????????
Went in to order, said would be about 30 mins so popped to Morrisons. When I returned 30 mins later, still had to wait another 15 mins for the order, but, it was a Sat night and they were busy, so understandable.
The food more than made up for the wait, really nice! The rice was proper fried rice, a lot of takeaways don’t have that nice fried rice taste anymore, a lot almost taste plasticky, Hings rice was bang on! Noodles were the thin ones too, perfect! Duck was delicious and shredded too. I’d probably pass on the mixed starters next time, but everything else was top notch!
Have tried a few Chinese’s in the area, and not many I’d return to. Hings I definitely would!
First visit not impressive found food really bland, chicken satay as a starter was ok but very runny chicken cashew nut no taste not even white pepper, special fried rice with prawns chicken beef and pork could not distinguish between the meats just no flavour. It’s a take away too and we asked for chopsticks as we had no utensils to eat it with they didn’t have? What take away doesn’t even give you utensils to eat the food? Also told I cannot use my phone to pay for under £10 ? I’m offering to buy you take my money however I wish to give it under £10 or over! We paid £22 for the food. We are just moving to the area and would normally give a second chance but too many negatives for me to do that will look elsewhere for my next Chinese. I have left three stars because the amount of protein in the food was a good proportion and the satay chicken too was decent sizes, just not enough flavour in the food. we were visiting Nantwich and chose because of good reviews this is probably the reflection on the amount of protein. I just like to know I’m eating Chinese!
The mains were fine, the BBQ Ribs were dry! The order placed was incorrect, causing a journey back to the takeaway wasting my petrol, cheers won’t be going back poor customer service
