A lovely friendly pharmacy. It’s sells everything you want from your medication, to hairbrushes, shampoo, sawing kit, makeup to gifts and cards. Staff are friendly, who are always happy to help. They except cash and cards, but cards can be slow as they only have one phone line so you often have to wait. It’s not ideal for wheelchairs or pushchairs but I think you can get in and to the main counter but getting around the shop might be tricky. There’s plenty of free parallel parking right outside. I would highly recommend.
There must be some in house rule to be as miserable and unhelpful as possible in this peculiar 1970’s throwback. An impression gained over the years since I last had to go in there, four people sorting scripts in view of customers and one person stacking lavender bath salts while customers wait to be served. Come on girls, crack a smile eh
I popped in here for some advice last week and the staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable thank you. I've now changed my prescriptions to come here very impressed.
Herbert & Herbert are very good and provide my repeat prescriptions with considerable efficiency.
I don't come into the Clapham branch very often but booked a COVID booster there this week. Queuing for the appointment was generally very well managed in this pharmacy, which relatively little space for a counter queue and a COVID booster queue.
Thanks to everyone at Herbert & Herbert for looking after me over the years and running a great prescription delivery service.
I love this chemist. The pharmacist and staff are always very kind and helpful. The pharmacist is very knowledgeable and offers good advice when asked and will do her very best to obtain prescription items from her sources if she can. The items in stock in the shop are varied and good value. I highly recommend this pharmacy.
After the most horrendous negligent experience of not being seen by a Doctor over a long period of trying to make an appointment at Priory medical practice Clapham encountering hostile, unhelpful receptionists along the way, not to mention an elusive ambivalent Doctor - I sought help at Herbert and Herbert chemist. I wish I’d gone months sooner. The pharmacist and the team are all exceptionally positive and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The pharmacist recommended two products for my health issues both of which worked brilliantly. Yes you can get prescriptions at Sainsbury’s Clapham but you won’t get the service or hands on willing experience of a team that genuinely wants to help you. Lots of great make up, beauty products and other useful items for sale in store too. Easy parking outside.
Rude! Unhelpful! Disrespectful! I will never go back after my terrible experience here! The chemist refused to even look at me when I approached the counter with my prescription she (the chemist) was chatting with a salesperson who was pitching her a product so I waited. But the chemist reached her hand over to me, as if to ask for my prescription but she did not even look at me or say a word to me, she took my prescription round the back while sill talking to the salesman. Shortly after, she called my name across the shop so I approached the counter, she continued to ignore me and I saw my medicine on the counter. She did not tell me any information about my medicine and she did not let me sign the prescription form at any point. She didn't even say a word to me. I had a few questions about this medication which I wanted to ask but when I tried to ask her she looked at me for the first time with an angry glare as if to say I shouldn't interrupt her conversation, which by this point, was just gossip. She snapped yes no answers to my questions, then when I asked if I should take 2 pills at night if I had been unable to take 4 pills evenly through the day she shouted at me that I should just not forget to take them through the day and she went off about how ridiculous I must be if I could not even manage to take 4 pills evenly through the day. This was the only thing she said to me at all through the entire transaction other than yes or no to my questions, despite at first she wouldn't even look at me and I left feeling very personally offended, it was a very rude, negative interaction which did upset me.
Front of house are not very friendly and seem un-experienced in customer service. When previously asked for advise, I felt they didn't try to help or ask the pharmacist.
