Absolutely gorgeous beach. Very well kept. Very sandy and a few rocks. Perfect for skimming. Lots of other visitors said they saw sea lions, but we didn't have that privilege. There is quite a bit of a hill to go up and down to the beach, not ideal for wheelchairs. There is a little café and an ice cream van at the top of the hill. I would definitely be back, especially when the weather is nicer.
What a beautiful sandy beach.
Great that it’s still allows dogs on at this time of year. Our dog loves the beach so was having a great time.
The beach is clean and tidy - no litter lying around when we visited.
If we are in Hemsby again we will definitely come to visit the beach again!
After the recent storms, yet more of Hemsby is gone. Pathetic sea defence, equivalent of a pebble trying to stop a river, lots of hazards laying around, town slowly dying, shame compared to the 80's and 90's. This is not the residents fault. Don't forget them. Hemsby needs the tourists
Beautiful beach. Although it is fighting coastal erosion. Dog friendly. Walk for miles
Typical seaside town. Penny Arcades, ice cream, fish and chips and amusement arcades. Parking has easy access to the main street. £6 all day.
The beach is stunning, mainly sandy but be careful of the sandbanks with children. The beach is not accessible for buggies or wheelchairs. Not sure about toilets as we couldn't find any.
Fantastic holiday resort for families with children... Lots to do, funfair, amusement arcades, bars, and restaurants... Affordable prices, too! The sandy beach that is sheltered by the cliffs is superb! Would definitely recommend for an inexpensive, fun filled getaway.
Great place to spend a nice time on the beach in Great Yarmouth. The sand was great and not many rocks which made the beach feel soft (unlike the city center where there are many rocks). We also saw a seal poking its head out of the water!!
Visited for the first time. Lovely, small seaside town troubled by cliff erosion, which was sad to see due to people's homes being lost.
