Best KPortal Reviews

I love that the Hellenic bakery opens late on a weekday, which is great because I teach occasional evenings just up the road at BHASVIC, and v few cafes will go past 6pm. The food always looks amazing - (I wish I could eat it but always dieting!). I only wish that they had interior seating, but newer more comfortable chairs outside have improved the experience.
I very rarely take the time to review places but was so impressed with the quality of food here I had to. Incredible croissants, desserts and coffee. I have lived in brighton for years and have been to about every other bakery/cafe in the dials but this one and from now on this will be the only one I go to when in the area. Love the decor really felt like a European bakery you’d see on holiday. Thank you for being you!!
- RUDE, VILE STAFF - BEST AVOIDED -
I was a frequent customer, and I visited on 31.12.23 in the afternoon. During this visit, the staff member misheard my order. Rather than just dealing with it as a low level misunderstanding. She then without provocation, forcefully accused me of telling her my order wrong. Effectively blaming me for her mishearing it. She then got her nearby colleague involved in this, where they proceeded to talk about me very rudely to each other right in front of me.
This was unprovoked, rude and unprofessional. Especially since I know how to say my order correctly and successfully order coffees without issue on a daily basis. Her behaviour was clearly intended to be degrading.
The staff member involved was a large lady, with an Eastern European accent. She had long dark hair, was wearing a white top and a baseball cap.
This incident was so bad that I'm now going to avoid this place, and use other establishments.
I loved this bakery, thr halva is really tasty though the coffee is average. I would love to try more of the items here. Being higlhly allergic to the egg, would appreciate of they have a clear allergen advice, confused faces when asked about allergen makes me unsure to try the items or not but i really loved halvas which were vegan and really tssty.
It’s a fairly big place offering a wide range of products from hot meals, celebratory cakes, chocolates, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks... Their wrapped chocolates (photo attached) are really addictive and some tasted much better than nutella. There is at times a long queue outside but I would say it is well worth the wait. You just need to find a place to eat it all outside as the benches in front of the shop are always taken by some local people.
What an awesome bakery. This coming from a fellow Greek. The cakes and the tartes and generally all the sweets look amazing.
They also had biscuits to accommodate for Lent. I definitely recommend a visit here if you happen to pass by. I definitely will, very soon.
Really nice bakery and the staff were very polite and helpful. It’s easy to see why there was a long cue out the shop to get in. There’s a mix of both sweet and savoury treats to eat, plus all items are reasonably priced. Would definitely go again the next time I’m in Brighton.
Great selection of sweet treats. Pricey. No inside seating. Outside close to the busy seven dials roundabout and next to community bins. Nice coffee but only in take away cups
