I will try and keep this message to you all as short as I can. My car broke down around June 2022 and we was taken to HD Motor Sports Ltd.
The engine had ceased and required new parts. In June 2024 it will be 2 years since they have had my car in their garage and still it has not been fixed.
I have been told multiple lies that the car will be ready for collection and I cannot begin to list the number of excuses given to me. Nobody takes 2 years to fix a car so I have alarm bells going off in my head!
Alex- the owners last excuse there is now fuelling issue. Alex told me it starts then cuts out.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said please send a video of the car starting would be great. Then I can at least see some truth to what you are saying. To-date- I have not received this information and I am very concerned about my £38,000 vehicle.
I have now taken legal action with the Motor Ombudsman and solicitors against this garage and hope to have them in court in the coming weeks. I am also an internet blogger and will place this message on multiple car forums, garages...etc. **********PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL***YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
Have never been one to complain and have never left a negative review before, but these guys need to be avoided at all costs.
I took my car in to have a new clutch installed (On a saturday), which I was informed would be completed on the day. By 25 minutes to closing time on the same day, I had to call them to chase up the progress on my car and was informed that my car wouldn't be completed until the Monday... It's a shame I needed it for work.
Regardless, Monday, still no correspondence until I call them again (This is a stressful process, don't expect them to answer the first few times, if at all), to be informed by a rude, lackluster employee who clearly couldn't care less for customer satisfaction, that it will be done soon.
Problem solved, albeit late. I arrive, pay, ask for an invoice (I'm told it will be emailed... Never recieved one), and then drive away. Car drives fine, and the problem was certainly fixed, however, it was evident that a load more problems had been initiated from the works. A relentless, noisy clunking sound coming from the front of my car.
I had a bad feeling about them and the new noises from my car, so decided to go to a separate garage today, and fortunately, just in time. My drive shaft has snapped. I have been informed that whoever replaced the clutch 'HDmotorsports' had falsely refitted the driveshaft and not fitted the plates together correctly, which subsequently has resulted in a broken driveshaft. There is also evidence of negligent damage to my gearbox mount. Both of which, I now have to replace. What a waste of money and time.
These guys represent everything wrong with a business. Please avoid for your own sake.

Update: My car is now fixed by another garage (A proper one). In addition to a damaged lower gear mount and snapped diveshaft, which I have had to pay to have replaced, HD Motorsports had also entirely forgotten to put the bolts back in for the engine mount... I'm lucky to be alive. Thanks to all the decent mechanics out there who do an honest days work.. Im sorry if practitioners like this give you a bad name.
Let this be a warning to anyone thinking of taking their car to this garage. I booked my Ford mondeo ecoboost 1.6 petrol in for a timing belt and water pump replacement on the 18th of December 2023. Before I took the car I marked all the appropriate nuts and bolts that would need to be removed to do the work. When I picked the car up that evening paid in cash as I always do when I returned home I checked the marks every single nut was in the same position. At present he has been issued with a CCJ order to refund me but has yet to do so. Next step bailiffs to inforce payment. See photo's
I used this garage for replacement of my timing chain. Price was very competitive. They took the car from my home. Took about 1 week for the work to be completed. During this time they replied to text messages giving me update on the progress.
I made payment via bank transfer which was their preference
Was a good experience.
Car was there for over 3 weeks to get a new clutch fitted. Fitted a new clutch, which still ended up being faulty. Engine light went on as soon as I left the garage, went to another garage who informed me that some of my wiring in my engine had been ripped up. Shortly after car went into limp mode. Steer clear.

Uses cheap parts then refuses to help even though had less than 6months.
Well over charged me and my car is in a worse state than when it went there my clutch is in my boot. Refused to release my car and added money onto the invoice because he said I was rude. So petty and very intimidating, got a load of his workers to circle me and my mother in law when I went to get my invoice that he didn’t even write up as he clearly had in mind he would scam me when I went home. Still waiting for a parts invoice from May as I’m sure he probably didn’t change what he said he did. Likes to blame the customer as it’s an easy way out not to help. Absolutely vile man
We were towed here by the AA. Our car was repaired the same day. What's more, it was checked for safety for the long journey. I am very satisfied with the service.
I had my jaguar Xsport serviced at this garage , I can honestly say that this is the best garage I have ever been to. The service is amazing , very professional and friendly ,they allowed me to wait for my car in reception . A truly honest and trustworthy garage, you really do not need to go anywhere else . The price was far less than I ever expected. I will never go anywhere else, you have a client for life. My car runs like a dream, thank you
