Brilliant,,, service was good,,, beer was first class couldn't of been better,,,we loved it we will be back x
Great atmosphere, good beer and cosy.
Very warm and welcoming pub
We visited the Hawbridge for the 1st time on a Sunday lunchtime. Good things and not so good things. Only 1 other party of diners in the dining room, though as it was a lovely day there were several others outside drinking so perhaps they ate there as well. A plain menu but with very reasonable prices. We chose the carvery and the meal was generous and tasty. No ambience and service was slow. The disabled toilet that one of our party used didn't look very clean. I understand the pub has changed hands and may be there are teething problems, so we will return at some stage.
Stayed here overnight in the caravan site takes about 10 pitches good value at £12. Tidy site, one loo & shower (bit cold in this weather as no heating or loo roll!!) Has clearly been refurbished recently.
Good base for walking along the Severn.
Traditional pub, warm welcome and dog friendley. Went in to pay for pitch and stayed for a few hours.
Very pleasant and friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Renovated keeping the old stone floors, real fires and a snug with leather sofas ( on Web site is picture where pool table is). Right on the river.
Very popular with walkers.
Food was stunning wasn't expecting to eat in but looked great so stayed. Roast beef roll cheese onion and fries for £5.95 was amazing. Balance of menu is burgers and steak, bit of fish & chips carvery on sundays.
Both meals very high quality and very good portions. The burger was something else. Thick juicy clearly made in house. Seasoned fries and a side garnish. Our two meals came to £14 amazing. Would defiantly stay again.
Larger choice a little limited though wine was surprising good value.
If you like a good tradional pubs and burgers it's a must.
I've recently moved to the area and went for a meal with my husband and grandson for the first time last night. I was rather disappointed. My husband ordered steak for himself and it came out in a timely manner and looked delicious, and indeed he rated it as 8/10 which is pretty good. We had ordered a cheeseburger meal for my grandson, and I had ordered broccoli bake with chips for my meal. My chips came out with the steak meal and then we had to wait a good many minutes before my broccoli bake turned up. I then asked about my grandson's meal and was told it was on its way. I dipped into the broccoli bake and found that it tepid at best. When my grandson's meal came out, I asked them to heat up my broccoli bake. The waitress apologised and it took another 5 minutes for my broccoli bake to reappear. In the meantime, my grandson discovered there was no cheese on his burger and so some grated cheese was brought out. My husband had practically finished his meal before I started mine and if he had waited until all our food was sorted, his would have been cold. I would recommend that children's meals are brought out first - that way parents can cut food up if needed and it often takes children longer to eat their meals than adults. I would have complained to be honest as there was a catalogue of errors, but all the staff appeared to be teenagers and there was no actual person in charge. Disappointed at this being my first visit to my new local.
Great food, atmosphere and camping what more do you need! Have spent a week camping here (with electricity) in my Motorhome. The food is good - I've enjoyed lamb shanks, baked Camembert and Stilton mushroom gratin - yum. I'll be back!!
July 8, 2017. Having moored up right outside on a decent Mooring pontoon, we found the building to be closed up with a builders skip outside. No sign to explain if it will ever open again. The Riverside Inn opposite is closed too.
