Best KPortal Reviews
The whole of the Braehed shopping and leisure complex provides excellent parking. A very good ratio of disabled spaces, and in general all kept rubbish free.
We are regular Harvesters and visited here for the first time in perhaps a year. Oh my goodness what a great experience. Worlds apart from what we have had before (which was already quite a high standard)
We entered and we're met by our server. The welcome extended to... Where would you like to sit sir, if move these chairs can you take you wheelchair to this table? That in itself was more help and less inconvenience than in other restaurants. As we discussed drinks and salads our server asked about allergies and dietary requirements. My wife is celiac and we have never, never felt so reassured and confident about placing a food order. A tablet was brought to the table which could detail any and every ingredient to ensure safe ordering.
Stella you made us most welcome and turned our dining experience today truly into something very special. Thank you and thanks also to the kitchen staff who took every extra precaution and allowed Stella to present us all with our meals hot and all delivered together.
Quality training and diligent staff great food and prompt service on a clean and welcoming environment.
Fantastic dining experience. I find the restaurant to be clinically underrated, evident by the lack of customers when me and my girlfriend went for lunch, however this could purely have just been the time we decided to go at. The staff couldn't be any friendlier to us, food was quick and the prices were very agreeable for what we received. We have been a handful of times before and service quality didn't falter at all between visits. We will definetely continue to visit.
We should have left about 2 mins after we entered! The restaurant was clean and salad bar was lovely and fresh so we were off to a good start. Unfortunately as we were shown to our seats, the waiter threw our menus onto the table and walked away- we got the feeling he was already having a bad day. Salad was fresh, starters arrived and all was good. The drinks machine wasn't working and the staff couldn't fix it- hey ho, sometimes these things happen, not a problem. Main meal- not so good. Chilli meat was dry and sauce was watery, triple cooked chips were tasteless and scampi was brown inside. When I asked for the bill we noticed that the refillable drinks were still on it and asked if they could be taken off. We didn't ask for food to be taken off the bill or complain about anything else but we felt that we shouldn't have to pay for the drinks we couldn't get. The waiter scrunched up our bill, huffed directly at us, walked away with the little plastic tray your bill arrives on, and promptly threw it across the waiters station. To say we felt embarrassed is an understatement! His behaviour was also noted by the family sitting beside us. He came back with new bill and left it on the table- no words spoken, no apology, nothing. Disgraceful service from someone who is supposed to make you feel welcome and enhance your dining experience. The other member of staff; a very tall gentleman with glasses wearing a shirt and tie was completely different- happy, helpful and apologetic.
Went for lunch and had to wait an hour for food even though the restaurant was less than half full. No warning from staff and no apology when we finally got our food. Expectations for the food weren't high and yet it still disappointed. Saving grace was that my son enjoyed his fish fingers and they were reasonably priced.
5 out of 6 enjoyed their meals. Starters came fairly quick, mains took a little longer. Meals freshly cooked and decent portions. Didn't have room for dessert. 2 rounds of drinks. Just over £20 a head. Satisfied with the experience.
Restaurant was quiet, despite this 40 minutes to serve food from order. Nothing complicated chilli and chicken and ribs. Chicken and Ribs were like warm, which is contrary to the Food Hygiene regulations. No follow up after serving to check everything was satisfactory, so the only tip I can give is give this place a miss.
I visited this restaurant on Tuesday 12/7/2016, and found it very clean and tidy, the portions were very large, the food was hot and very good.
The staff were very polite, and kept coming over to the table checking everything was Ok.
There was about 20 people in the restaurant, we had a wee wait for the dessert, and as the kitchen was falling behind, our waitress prepared our dessert to prevent a further wait, which I thought was good customer service.
I had the gammon steak and my partner fish and chips, followed by hot fudge cake and apple watermelon crumble and we would recommend all of these to anyone going there, were really good value for money.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and will defiantly be returning to it in the further.
Me and my boyfriend went here to try it for a change and waited about 45 minutes in between starter and main for our food, food was barely hot and tasted bland, chips were so hot couldn’t eat them untill the rest of the food was finished. Staff disappeared often and couldn’t get someone to get the bill for 30 minutes. Never coming back and would definitely not recommend!
