Best KPortal Reviews
SUE and her ladies are the best! They feel you well with a smile on their face. Leaving this review because you should definitely give Harvest a go - if not for the food, then for the lovely service
Went there for the 1st time as I've been meaning to go for a while as I live in the area. However didn't feel that welcoming when we entered. Felt like I had to smile to try get the young girl to smile. Cappuccino was ok and decent size for the price. Latte was watered down and not that nice. Lentil soup was nice however just warm. The older lady was kind enough to warm it up. As we were about to leave another family came in and the same young girl working there was extremely friendly and smiley towards those customers. I saw with my own eyes who she chooses to be nice to which isn't very nice for customers. Anyway I hope they will improve on their customer service.
Best salad bar in Hackney, with a wonderful rotating selection of hot food too. Home made lasagna, meat balls, curries - it’s amazing. And great value. Bloody love this place.
Tasty salads and pastries are fresh, coffee is very good. Prices are also affordable. Staff are very friendly to chat to.
Amazing food, amazing cooks. So delicious and healthy. So many options as well. I can just eat from here everyday!
Their bread grows a lot of mould and is inedible on the 'best before date'. Kitchen must be crawling with pathogens. Avoid!
I have no idea what these negative reviews are on about - came here to pick up some lunch, they had incredible variety, all healthy delicious food and at a reasonable price. An honest gem in East London.
So I live in Cambridge Heath Road and was pleasantly surprised when a much needed bakery opened in the area. I’ve been praying for something like a Gail’s for a long time. Anyways, I’ve been a couple of times and the service is pleasant, they smile when you smile but nothing amazing. I always buy the sourdough sliced. The food is ok, nothing amazing but they are pricey, it’s fine that’s the area. My issue is that I always buy the sourdough, it’s £4,50 but £4.25 on the bag.
Now, I have bought bread about 5 times here and the price has always been like this. About a week ago my husband went at 1815pm. They had just baked a batch and the doors were open to cool. The person charged him £5. I found this very confusing. So today, I went and got some bread and asked the girl serving, who had short black hair in a bob. She was pleasant but not friendly, which ok. Now, I don’t know if this was due to a language barrier but I don’t think she understood what I was saying.
She explained that normally they don’t sell at that time because the till is closed and that the person did not have change. Firstly, I would have preferred for them not to overcharge my husband and just say that. Money is hard to come by, we are all going through a massive cost of living crisis and 50pence is a lot, at least to me. She could have offered the 50p refund but she didn’t she kept on trying to explain not very clearly, that the person did not have change. I said, you should give me a refund because we were overcharged. If you are not going to use your till or not have change, ask the clients to pay the exact amount then. I have been going between Harvest and Forno and this has made me question going back as they don’t have that personable, friendly bakery vibe that Forno has. This is why I gave it 2 stars, please do better.
