Decided to try this chip shop as the closest one to me on George St was appalling.
The staff were very welcoming when I walked in. Shop looked clean and tidy.
I walked the 10 mins home and it was all still warm.
I got a large chips and buttered sausage and it all tasted really nice. As you would expect from a proper chip shop.
Definitely be going back.
I used to love this chippy, I lived nearer so when we had spent all day at the Royal Stoke we fancied some chips and said we would go where we had always gone ! Now I don’t know if it’s changed hands but I had my usual piece of SFC and chips my chips were nearly all bits with no potato and my chicken was over cooked or cooked for a good while not that good the curry sauce was nice though. Now my other half always has a fish on some peas which she said was ok… however later on was so sick and all that you could see was what looked like bits of fish. So disappointed because I always rated this chippy and to say this was only 6 o'clock teatime why was mine so like end of shift ? I just wish I’d took pictures because like I say it used to be fab ????
Great chippy. Food well packed. Crispy chips nice quailty fish. staff accommodating and friendly. Very efficient service.
Very disappointed. Paid £9.20 for a large fish and £5.50 for large chips to share. The portions were tiny. The fish looked like it had been cut in half and was not much longer than one of the chips. The chips were smaller than the regular portion I had last time I was there. Paid over £20 with a small curry sauce and small peas and portions were so small and not good value for money at all.
A fantastic family run chip shop, good quality and portions for some a share. An exceptional variety to choose from, special set meals too. Make sure you also ask to try their potato fritters.
Absolutley dreadful. Asked for a large chips they were over cooked and clearly been sat for ages asked for curry sauce got gravy fishcakes were dried out aswell very dissapointing
I cannot believe how expensive it is here. Pure greed. Not very tasty. ... Owner not so friendly
