Cod is oily and not very nice. Savaloys are OK. Chips also oily. Waste of money. Wouldn't go again
EDIT: This place is THE BEST! Run by an older lovely Chinese couple who are very friendly and welcoming. Prices are cheap and the food is lovely, but more importantly it’s nice to support a true local business which is so rare nowadays.
It’s basic but does the job, proper fish and chips. Had to leave a good review after seeing some of the negative ones. It’s not glamorous but the food is completely fine, it hit the spot perfectly.

It's not often somewhere attracts such a low rating, but here we are. Admittedly, only came here twice. Once to try, once to confirm.
Nothing cooked fresh, everything from the bain marie. Last time I went in they tried to give me my order from food that had been sitting around who knows long. When I asked for freshly prepared, they told me no. Left and never went back.
At a loss to understand how they stay afloat as I've never seen anyone here.
My family have been eating here since the mid-80s. One of the best old school places for fish and chips. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Most likely the best fish and chips in London. Don’t know what the other reviews are talking about because we go back to them every time because the fish and chips are NOT oily. Very good chippy and always very friendly!
The Chips taste like they were cooked yesterday! How can you sell old chips?. They leave a horrible oily film in your mouth.
Surely it’s not that hard to serve a fresh portion of chips around lunchtime!
