Well despite the 45 min wait after ordering food at the counter & all the other people in the shop that had phoned in their order & were also waiting, the food was actually worth waiting for & looked, also tasted good. So almost a 5 star rating.
This used to be a good Chinese Take Away, but the prices have risen disproportionally. £8 or more for a standard sized small box of a main without rice or any other condiments is too steep and a meal for two will set you back at least £30 or£40. You won’t get any free items (not even fortune cookies or prawn crackers) unless you spend more than £25.
I also received erroneous orders the last couple of times due to miscommunications with the receptionist.
The atmosphere of the take-away could not be less inviting and urgently needs a refurb.
First time we tried this place going on the excellent reviews,so disappointed best dish was chicken balls although sweet sour sauce freezing cold,curry yellow and looked like vomit,beef tasted gone off in beef and black been,king prawn Kung po not bad,and ribs not too bad, certainly wouldn't recommend happy valley
Wow. Thank you Happy Valley, we’ve just had an amazing meal. Every single dish was delicious and such generous portions. We’ve never had a bad dish but this was such a good one that I had to leave a review ❤️
King Prawn Noodles are fabulous, sweet and sour sauce is imaculate. Only problem is there is no proper seating. Wait time is good (about 10 minutes) and food is great.
Excellent food and great value for money - difficult to find menu online so I’ve added photos below to aid ordering.
Very tasty, I enjoyed every mouthful. This is the second meal we've had from Happy Valley in Harestock.
First time using and will return. Good portions, especially of sweet and sour sauce which many takeaways skimp on, food tasty and served quickly. Staff pleasant. Order was for under £15 but paid using Apple Pay and no surcharge or suggestion of one.
