Fantastic Chinese. Honestly I have had half the menu over the last few years. And everything was perfect. If you want a meal that's not packed out with onions and peppers and just 6 pieces of meat this place is a must. And the service is as good as the food. Very happy owner.
Massively disappointed
1 - Stood at the counter, half way through my order and the phone rings… they picked it straight up and spent the next few minutes taking another persons order before coming back to me again
2 - Cash only….. !
no signs to tell you and only found out after placing the order…. Had just enough in cash or I’d have had to find a cash machine
3 - All our Crispy meat dishes (chicken and beef strips) were scratty and hard to chew, not pleasant or easy to eat
4 - Never had egg fried rice that was that dark and it just didn’t look or taste right
5 - Chips were really hard… they just went in the bin
The positives…. They were cheap
The food here is excellent. It’s reasonably priced and always hot and tasty. Customer service is ultra friendly, especially the lady who answers the phone. 5 star food hygiene rating too. Highly recommend.
The delivery took an age and the food was cold when it got delivered. 1st time ordering from here and i'm afraid will probably be the last £26 wasted on cold food. The prices are also wrong on the menu listed online.
Decided to order based on the reviews and a recommendation at our holiday home. The lady who served me was just lovely. The food was good - particularly the chicken balls (crispy and tasty) and chicken chow mein (possibly best chow mein we've had). The sweet and sour sauce was more sweet than anything but ok (just not what I'm used to) and the BBQ ribs were a bit on the dry side and the sauce was not like the usual BBQ sauce - thin and syrupy sweet. All in all if I was staying in Sowerby Bridge again I would use them again and skip the ribs.
We live in Wadsworth so they won’t deliver to us, we’ve been twice now and it’s worth the drive and every drop of fuel.
Yum! Never been much of a fan of Chinese food but thought we'd give it a try as something different. The Singapore Vermecelli Special now has us going back time and time again. Great value, nice staff, excellent quality. Deserves all of the praise it gets from other locals.
Really friendly.. excellent value and some of the best Chinese food we have ever had.
