Hamers solicitors represented me for our first home buy, could not recommend enough really, didn't have to contact Karen/Eric to often as ran very efficiently and smoothly through the process and only had to contact really if being questioned of the estate agent who was in charge of the chain of 3, but when I did need to ring my questions where ways answered there and then. Would definitely recommend, brilliant service. Thanks alot..
One of the worst solicitors around, stay away.
The receptionist Karen, has a disgusting attitude and not very professional at all.
She argues with you instead of passing your concerns on to Eric Hamer.
She needs to retire as she's getting worse in her old age.
Thanks so much to everyone at Hamers especially Karen who have yet again done a super completion on our house, it's been incredibly slow due to the chain being 4 but we had no problems thanks again to the team at Hamers .
Mr Hamer has looked after us for over 10 years with various legal and property matters from the straight forward to really complex - Eric has expertise and patience - and he has the ability to make things simpler! He and his staff are friendly and welcoming - Kay and more recently Karen are both polite and always happy to help - if there is something urgent it gets sorted. Highly recommended and 5 stars!
If your wanting a professional, empathetic service you need to really stay away from this firm. They are clearly too busy to deal with customers and due to this the service levels have seriously dropped. Your first point of call will be a stressed, rude lady who answers who clearly doesnt want to be of any assistance . Good luck to anyone using them.
BAD! extremely poor poor service, the people in reception need to get some customer service training ASAP as this will put this firm down to closure! Mr hamer stop being to stuck up, be kind and nice to your clients, and please stop lying to them, it took forever for an email to be sent to the third party solicitors off you, which you had told me was sent and received by the third party! Very poor would not recommend this place to anyone as your time will be waisted gracefully.

I used Hamers (although never got passed the dragon that is his wife on reception to actually have one conversation with Mr Hamer himself) to attempt to buy a property.
From start to finish I experienced nothing but inadequate, rude and poor service (although there wasn't actually a service as nothing got done)
I had instructed searches to be carried out on my property to a girl on reception who agreed, took my number and said Mr Hamer would ring me if there was a problem.
15 working days down the line I had heard nothing so tried to ring again, after 55 mins of unanswered phone calls, eventually Mrs Hamer answered in a snotty manor... she told me that the searches won't be done until I had my mortgage offer...I told Mrs Hamer I understand that this is nornal practice and procedure, however I am aware of the risks and would like to instruct the searches anyway (as I was exptreemely confident in the mortgage offer arriving in the next three to five days as promised by my lender) Mrs Hamer- although I was happy to pay for searches, plus any additional searches that the bank may request, basically refused to do as I was instructing. I asked theee times in the same phone call to go ahead with the searches and re-iterated I was happy to pay IF any additional searches were required, but Mrs Hamer failed to agree or to even discuss with Mr Hamer. When I asked why I hadn't had a call back to explain that the searches won't be done, as I previously instructed 15 working days earlier, Mrs Hamer was very rude and extremely defensive and couldn't provide me with an answer.
My advise to anyone looking for a decent service (unless you know and can speak to Mr Hamer directly, avoiding the dragon) is to avoid at all costs. Mrs Hamer almost tries to be as unhelpful as possible, there is no customer service skills, she is rude, arrogant and awkward. If I was to act in my business the way she acts, I would not have a business.
Quite frankly, possibly the worst "service" I have ever received.
I went to Hamers on my lunch today to make an appointment. The receptionist was very rude & told me to wait outside in the rain unless I had an appointment. There was nobody else in the office. I said how can I get an appointment? She was rude again & told me that I had to wait outside so I told her that I was taking my business elsewhere.Very unprofessional, very rude & not bothered about new business.
