Possibly the worst chips we have ever had to CHEW on. These chips must have been cooked the day before, they were hard, old, burnt and tasteless. Even a 6 year old wouldn't eat them!! Cash ONLY in today's world thats strange and smells a bit fishy. On the up side the unbattered sausage was OK and the lady that served us was polite.
Lovely fish and chips cooked to perfection and such a good price, £3.50 for fish and chips with a choice of mushy peas, gravy, curry sauce or beans. Bargain! I was recommended this place by a man up the road who owns paddle boats, glad he recommended this place as I definetly left feeling satisfied.
Overpriced, fish was soggy, mushy peas were undercooked and to top it off its cash only.
Im really not sure how they can sell food for the price they do as the standard they deliver.
Try some of the other places guys and save your money.
Just the worst. Disinterested staff, more interested in chatting than welcoming and serving customers, rip off prices for drinks, cash only (hmm) and the worst chips and bread roll I’ve ever had. The bread was stale and ‘buttered’ with the cheapest margarine, and the chips were rock hard. This place is clearly for tourists because there’s no way anyone local would eat here.
Tend to always visit here when we come. Tried somewhere else last time but returned this time. Great value, for the mini fish deal - it always fills me up. Fish was cooked to perfection however judging by the chips, they’re due an oil change. Didn’t really reduce the quality of the meal though. :)
Lovely fish and chip shop, it has an area inside and out to sit, it was busy when we called in, all food was cooked fresh as you waited and the staff brought it to you if you ordered something that was ready. Traditional Fish and Chip shop like I remember from my childhood. Gets a thumbs up from me.... Well done Hall's
