We can highly recommend J Hall. We dropped in today without a booking as needed urgent help. John worked on our car and diagnosed some faults which other mechanics had overlooked causing car running problems. He has an abundance of knowledge and gave us some great advise. Only have positive things to say about John. I've been coming here for years and they can never do enough for you. Excellent service, trustworthy and accommodating. Would highly recommend and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
First time using John Hall for a 'knocking' sound on front end of my Peugeot. Reviews suggested he was thorough and had a hard core of regular customers who'd used him for years. He put car on ramps, found cause, and within a week the car was repaired for much less than I anticipated. I'll definitely use him again. Always good to find a local business that puts customer satisfaction and safety top of the list and matches up to the positive reviews (which he clearly deserves).
A genuine ‘5’ STAR rating.
Went here based on a friends recommendation fair enough I didn't get it serviced, got it through first mot and a few other bits next mot I have a couple of issues but wants the friend who recommended him to come with Me ,why I pay for everything not him I owned the vehicle, wouldn't go backeand excessive money spent on car
Definitely wouldn't recommend
Brought my car here as I was recommended by someone who says he's "very thorough". Thorough is not the word. This man looks for every tiny little problem and exaggerates it to get money out of you. I brought my car in with a warning light problem and in need of mot.. After looking at it, he told me my car was virtually a write off. Told me my suspension was damaged, I needed a new front axel, my coolant bottle needed replacing, I needed 3 new tires. This was just some of the things he told me over the phone. He told me there were multiple faults including a timing belt fault and it would cost me in excess of a thousand pound to "bring it back to life"... I instantly distrusted this man and went elsewhere.
My car failed on a broken spring which cost £45 plus £25 labour. John hall charged me £36 just to look over my car and change a light bulb!
There are more trusting, gullible people out there who believe this man's rubbish and hand over hundreds of pounds. Shouldn't be allowed!
Take my advice, unless you like throwing your money away, avoid this garage at all costs.
I've been taking my cars to John's garage for over 10 years now. Top quality service, always happy to help share his knowledge and a great mechanic. Won't go anywhere else.
Absolutely the best service me and my car has ever received. Can only recommend if you want expert help!
