I wanted a chip roll, so I thought I’ll pop in and have something at this chip shop.
I was a bit disappointed when I found out that they were trying to give me a burger bun, not a roll. A lot of chip shops lately are trying to do this, what is a bit disappointing.
Instead, I got a saveloy and chips, chips were pretty good saveloy, I’ve had better. I was also a bit surprised that this chip shop doesn’t do card. On this occasion I had cash.
Fresh fish with fresh batter! Can’t say any bad words about this place. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Will be back, thanks guys!❤️
bought fish and chips today, must say some of the worst I've ever had, soggy and burnt (looks like left overs from lunchtime) the fish was over cooked and the batter really brittle. Spoilt my dinner completely.
Fish and chips is not normally our takeaway of choice because it always tends to smell better than it tastes! This is the second time we have used this premises since it has reopened have to say the chips were lovely (2 portions between 3 is more than enough for us!), my husband and son had cod which I'm told was very nice too! Definitely will use them again and would highly recommend (we went at approximately 7pm on a Wednesday night and everything was freshly cooked).
The best chicken burger I have had was here, perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing.
I had large haddock and chips. I waited for it to be cooked which was fine with me. The fish was amazing and some of the best chips I've ever had. Extremely good value
Parking across the road in the free car park the staff were friendly and efficient.
Cash-only the portions were well sized, the cheese used for cheesy chips actually melted and it did just what you want it to - good portions served quickly despite being busy.
Getting back to the seafront (where bizarrely it was hard to even get a coffee), others asked where we got ours and we were more than happy to recommend it.
Food is prepared fresh, which means it took 12 minutes, but the chips were really good. So tasty! The chicken was good. All in all great value!
