A lovely little local cafe that we were keen to try as it's newly open. A nice menu on offer but only jacket potatoes for a gluten free option - I would recommend them having frozen GF paninis or similar in stock as the menu is heavily sandwich based. The menu overall is nice, not sure if it changes or not and it could do with being visible at the tables or at least on a chalk board further down inside the cafe. It felt like the staff weren't trained enough or perhaps just their system needs work - we had to correct our order at the till point and then again a couple of times after this and they still got one meal wrong. Teething problems hopefully. The meals and sweet treats we had were nice and I'm sure we'll be back.
We had never heard of half moon cafe until some friends said how fantastic their cream teas were. We booked a table for 18 after a funeral, and were feeling a bit sad but the staff made a massive effort and produced a table groaning with food, so much we were all given boxes to take home. The staff were highly efficient but nonobtrusive and did everything with a smile. All the food was home produced including the cakes and sausage rolls. Visit them for a treat, really good and first class value. Thanks all
A really nice coffee shop with very good coffee, great cakes and an excellent selection of hot food (baguettes, toasties, breakfast rolls, jacket potatoes etc.). Lovely addition to the area and a nice option for lunch, business meetings etc.
Lovely place. It's our local cafe. We noticed them building it so we're excited to try it. Coffee is amazing. Really polite staff. Lovely quiet and calm atmosphere with some jazz ambience.
Love this local little coffee shop. The Staff are very welcoming. Homemade butternut squash soup is delicious!
All the savoury’s and cakes look very good quality and reasonable prices too.

Ate here for the first time today, ingredients, food itself, atmosphere and service all amazing. Little gem of a cafe, so few of them around especially in this area. Just hope enough people visit so it can keep going, try it out, you won’t regret it.
I absolutely love my local coffee shop! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The coffee is exceptional, with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. They also have delicious pastries and snacks that pair perfectly with their drinks. I highly recommend stopping by and treating yourself to a cup of their amazing coffee!
Lovely relaxing place for coffee and cake, or something more savoury. Staff welcoming and friendly. This is a new business, but I think they have got everything just right - from the choice of teas and coffees to the freshly made selection of sweet and savoury. I visited on a Saturday afternoon,
and there was a steady stream of customers. I will definately be visiting again.
