Lovely place, so chill and calming what more can i say. Maintained well and nice benches need to see the house sometimee!
We went to see the house lit by candlelight for Christmas. We go every year, it was wonderful as always. The staff were friendly and polite for the most part, one man was a bit rude complaining about people not leaving donations. He wasn't talking about us in particular but I think he should keep his opinions to himself. This was in the older part. People pay to come and see this, and also pay for refreshments. I loved seeing the carol singing inside and outside. I enjoyed having a friendly chat with the staff in the main dinning room and the ladies who were telling us about the Christmas pudding. We will be back next year. One thing that could be improved is lighting in the car park.
What can I say!! Have just come back from a beautiful spring walk through Haden Hill Park, woods and lakes!! The park and house is very well kept, and well worth a visit!! Didn't have time to go around the house and museum, so will do that the next time!! Give it a try, it's like a peace of heaven!! So peaceful!!
A beautiful walking area either as a family with children, a couple, or dog walker. Haden Hill House looks beautiful as well.
Beautiful and massive park. Great place for long walks and nice place for kids to play. Linked to many roads makes it more convenient. You must
Nice park with nice views, and areas for the children to play. It is quite steep in parts if you are planning to walk around it, and if you're planning on wandering into Corngreaves nature reserve bring wellingtons. No toilets any more.
A very Big park. Plenty of space for the kids to run wild. There is a Lower pool where the Ducks and Swans, well we only saw the one Swan there, while a Lady and her son were feeding the Ducks. We walked through the path to the Top end of the park. We were looking for the Children's playground, there is a small playground for younger children, with swings and a small slide and a slightly bigger playground for older children where they can climb on the rope and a Bigger slide to slide down. Overall not a Bad park to go to and burn some energy with the Children.
Great place for everyone, the museum is open on Sundays and the volunteers are a lovely helpful bunch, there is a toddler playground and also a bigger outdoor play area (could do with TLC in my opinion) there is a large duck pond if you follow the park path down hill and lots of open space for football, picnics dogs ect, if you venture further past the duck pond you'll enter Congreve's nature reserve where you'll find a stream that runs adjacent to the main path there is also a car park for Congreve's nature reserve. We visit once a week all weather.
