Free hard standing car park for about 20 cars and a few parking places along the road
Excellent base to walk to Gummers How and beyond to Birch Fell
Path to Gummers How can be muddy and steep for certain people but suitable for most people as it's only a 30 minute walk
There is a large herd of cattle on site, but very docile, but please be advised if you have a dog to keep it on a lead

nice free car park set at the bottom of the walk up to gummer's how - just cross the road and walk up a bit, and you'll see the path.
Free decent carpark. It was very full when we arrived, we only just got a parking spot. Was almost empty when we left as it had started raining!

What a superb carpark for a view of windermere. Nip over the road to the wall and take a look.
Easy to get to and a great place to start any hikes or runs from. Best of all, it's free - unique to the Lake District! This car park can get busy at the weekend, but there are plenty of spaces.
No don't get many carparks in the lakes that are free of charge. ???????? handy and large enough. Footpaths from the carpark leading to gummers how.
Good walk with various options for difficultness ( the easy route is going up behind the mountain )....and you won't be disappointed by the views......
