Literally impossible to get an appointment. You can't get them in advance, you have to call at 8am to get an appointment the same day. There is technically an online system to get appointments, but it does not work. There is no queuing system when you call, you just have to keep calling until someone picks up. I started calling at 8am on the dot, and called 42 times before I got through at 8:20am. By then, all the appointments were gone. I have applied to transfer to a different GP because of this, as I have attempted to get an appointment for two weeks.
1. While attending an appointment with my son, I was informed by a lady that the appointment had been cancelled due to a mistake made by the GP. Unfortunately, no one had told me of the cancellation beforehand, leaving me shocked and frustrated.
2. When attempting to book an appointment with a doctor over the phone, the receptionist abruptly cut me off and advised me to book online instead. However, when I had previously requested an appointment online in May of last year, I never received a response from anyone.
3. Last week, I called my GP at 7:58 a.m. to see a doctor, and the receptionist cut me off, and again, they were fully booked.
You can only book an appointment if you call at 8am, and inevitably you can't get through, and by the tim le you do there are no appointments. If you do get through, it's same day appointments only.
You're only able to book routine appointments in advance if you use e-consult. Which sounds super convenient and easy being an online form, but actually the form is only available 9am-12pm on weekdays, and just disappears without a trace/explanation outside those times.
So they CAN and DO book routine appointments in advance, they're just ridiculous and bizarre about it.
Also, if you get a referral, they're unable to email it to you. They print it off and you have to go in person to collect a piece of paper to do... An online referral process. Make it make sense?
Not surprised that everyone else is leaving 1 star reviews. The most useless doctors surgery ever.
None of the receptionists have got the foggiest idea what they’re doing, I get told one thing by one, ten minutes later a completely different thing by another. Sent off a sample for it to be lost. Had to redo it then 14 days later after chasing every day I get told the lab couldn’t do it because I filled in the details wrong. The only details are your name and date of birth. Another excuse as I’m sure they probably lost it again as I’m confident that I can write my own name on a tube. Receptionist manager is the most sarcastic rude and unsympathetic woman I’ve ever come across. The receptionist laughed behind her screen after I got frustrated after being in the same position 8 weeks ago due to the incompetence of the NHS. Was told “go to another surgery then”. Hope the surgery gets shut down , wouldn’t be missed .
I am quite cross that I cannot leave a negative star rating, so have begrudgingly left a 1 ????. I thank the Gods that I have finally left this practice after a 3.5 year battle with the reception staff (not including Juliet). As a warfarin patient, aged 55, who works full time, the memorial pharmacy at Sittingbourne hospital stopped their warfarin clinic, I asked where can I go, their reply was ‘Find one yourself’ I went into the surgery to ask advise about my future warfarin care and one of the receptionists stood up, pointed in my face and told me I was a liar because I had sought a blood test elsewhere and out of borough (even though I showed her proof). I made numerous complaints, spoke to 4 practice managers in the said 3.5 years, and not 1 of these complaints were addressed. The new practice manger (Nicola Reeves) told me to seek another GP surgery to take over my care and was finally struck off due to my complaints. I am now with a surgery, who have shown an actually interest in my medical needs and the care I need. I could write forever about my horrific care experience from this surgery, the reception staff are absolutely vile and possibly the most uncaring, unhelpful staff I have ever encountered. They made me cry every single time I spoke to them, with their cutting remarks, sarcasm and general awful behaviour. I have never been so happy to be struck off by a surgery - go to Kent councils website and look up patient reallocation, this has literally saved my life and my sanity
Absaloutely shocking service have to phone over 30 times daily for them to never have any appointments avaliable and they never give the correct help and staff don't seem to care! Disgraceful service should be shut down or re appointed new management and staff. Never ever recommend.
The worst Gp I had in my life.I am trying to call at 8 am, I get hold of them at 8:06: they are fully booked. They booked me for a check-up without asking me if I can attend at that date and time. I try to change the appoiment, they said that I can’t change it .
They should be stripped of license.
Have recently moved from this practice due to the shocking service received.
My son had a letter from the opticians requesting a hospital referral sent to the surgery in June.... meanwhile we had been on a waiting list to transfer surgeries and this came through three weeks ago. Once our records were transfered I was actually able to speak to someone who said they could not see the referral being made - advising that they would now make this. I received a text message two days later to advise the referral had been made, and have come home today to a letter with an appointment for him. Green Porch sat on this for almost 4 months with no referral made, despite me chasing yet The Meads had managed to do this is 48 hours!!
Absolutely shocking, even if they are stretched to not make a referral after four months of sitting on a letter is beyond a joke!!
