Fuming! Been using Grays for years and always had a cracking service from an older guy (Dave, I think). This time WOW! Got a quote from a younger man who looked at the damage for about 3 mins told me the price and I booked it in. He told me it would be 3 days and to pick it up on the Saturday. Unknown to me he sent a voicemail on Friday morning to say it was finished (1 day earlier than expected). He went on to say that the cost is now £97.00 more than the original agreed price because of parts. So went to collect the vehicle and expressed my disappointment in the varying price and that I wouldn't of had them do it if the real price was given as the quote. He told me they always did it this way and it was me that was wrong. I reluctantly paid the money and asked for am receipt. To which he said he couldn't give me one as they didn't have a printer. I asked him if he was having a laugh to which he replied "Does it look like I'm having a laugh". I demanded a receipt be sent via email and was so angry and upset that I didn't even check the repair. Once I got home I found a strange bracket and two nuts in the load space, the side door would not stay open on its own as it did before and there was a rubber trim coming away from the door edge. I immediately called Grays and expressed even more anger that not only did I feel ripped off money wise, the repair had damaged the door. The same guy told me "the door never stayed open". So doubting his customer without hesitation. He told me to bring it back. I didn't have time at that point to do so and I told him so. Not even surer I will ever want to go back. Anyway, shortly after he called back to say that he had called the older guy and that he had removed a bracket and if I returned they would do it for me. He also stated that he was apologising for not fitting the door bracket. I am a practical type man and I fitted the bracket myself in order not to have to go back as no doubt the free repair would cost me more in part I expect.
Font bumper came loose when getting stuck in some mud so popped by to see if they could do anything. The guy got out his tools and fixed it up for me free of charge as was a quick job. A lovely thing to do and very much appreciated. Have been there before for quick paint fix ups for scratches and they haven’t charged much. So nice to find a place who aren’t trying to rip you off like a lot of businesses. Great little place ????
WOW!!!!! had an accident in my car, needed back door and front door replaced and my pillar un twisted, Jason took my car fixed my car, even bloody cleaned my car, delivered my car home to me, absolute legend of a man, perfect job done and price came in well bellow quote, and quote was well cheap...... can't thank this garage enough, would recommend to anyone..... top people
Really good service from Gray Bros and i would recommend them to anyone who wants bodywork carried out in Southampton or beyond.
By far the best bodyshop i have used with a fantastic attention to detail and a good finished job.

Family have used Grey Bros previously, and have recommended them to me, so obviously when someone hit my precious Volvo, it went in to them for body work repair. The service was courteous, and efficient. The vehicle was delivered back to me on time, had been cleaned inside and out and looked immaculate. would certainly recommend to anyone needing crash or body work repair. Took car in to repair a dent and scrape on drivers side rear quarter. Handed in on a Tuesday and was ready Friday. First time I used theses guys on a, recommendation. The results speaks for themselves fantastic workmanship and good reasonable value. Highly recommended. Thank you very much guys very very happy.
Had a new rear bumper & near side wing fitted today (14/8/23) as well as front bumper needed sorting out, all done very professionally by Jason at a reasonable price, if i ever need any other bodywork doing i will definitely go there again & i highly recommend them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Poor quality workmanship. I recently had work done to both my car and my wife's, a week or so apart. The paint job to my rear bumper has left a visible line. In addition, it took 3 whole days to complete. My wife's car had a number of small bumps on the back door. Having used a suction device in an attempt to remove them, the bumps look pretty much unchanged (he should have beaten the panel from the rear). When I queried the quality of his work I was given a £5 discount. Again, it took 3 days. In hindsight I should have refused payment. Whilst a nice man, his work is very poor.
