Grand Kerala Restaurant in Sheffield truly stands out as the go-to place for authentic Kerala flavors. It's undoubtedly the only South Indian restaurant in the area that delivers the best in terms of taste and authenticity.
We had got the food delivered twice in the beginning and then we went to the restaurant almost 3-4 times to have taste the flavours from the restaurant itself.
Food still is amazingly good. No doubt. However, the staff is not at all welcoming and pleasant. Hospitality of the staff is a turn down. Have felt this multiple times during our visit to us and as well as our friends and families we take there to taste the authentic food.
Also a big NO for the hygiene of the handwash area and washroom. It’s not at all maintained well and it smells horrible.
These two are a major turn down and because of this I’m changing my 5 star review to 3.
A restaurant review consists of not only the food, but also the atmosphere, hospitality and hygiene of the place. May be in future if this feedback is taken care of, would love to update the review again.
1st review: We got our hands on their chicken biriyani and chatti choru. Was top notch in flavours. This time we had the food delivered home but definitely going back to have this experience from the restaurant soon.
I have Ordered Kappa Biriyani from Grand Kerala. First of all this item is Overpriced compare with the quantity and This is what they send! How could you explain about this? Don't you have eyes even before packing this item? Please change the name from Kappa Biriyani to Kappa Kanji!
Last Wednesday me and my two frnds had a great lunch from Grand Kerala,Sheffield. Being a Mallu foodie and not able to get a tasty food was my main concern all the time ????
We had paalkappa, dum porotta and chattichoru from this restaurant and it was soo delicious and I sincerely thanking Mr.Patric and the owner chechi from Calicut for the amazing experience.
Amazing food! Amazing service.....just amazing. DJ served us so well. It is the best place I have ever been to in UK. Ohh my god! Don't forget to have masala chay
We used to order pothichoru, masaladosa for many times and the taste was superb. But we went there on last saturday along with our friends and ordered 2 chattichoru, kappabiriyani, muttonbiriyani, falooda. They were written 10 pounds for chattichoru in the menucard. But they were increased 2pounds for chattichoru during the payment and they said its special one. They could have atleast inform us before that the price may varied. In total for chattichoru per person we got bill for 12 pounds. How is it possible???? Anyway food was superb nothing bad to comment on it.The staff didn't inform about this while taking order.
Palkappa with fishcurry is a must try item. But the quantity is very low. Each and every dish is delicious. ????

We had Porotta, Varutharacha Chicken Curry , Paper Dosa & Special Falooda GK❤️????. Great ambience & the staff’s were very friendly . Excellent customer experience.Highly recommend anyone wanting authentic Kerala tasteful food in Sheffield to try this place for sure ????????
Good restaurant with amble south indian dishes especially kerala dishes. There's no parking space available. The service was fine.
