I have updated my previous 2 start rating to 5 stars (would give 6 of I could) due to the momentous turnaround this pharmacy has had due to new owner. Amazing service!!!
So happy to be able to use this pharmacy again and see happy staff once more. I had since stopped visiting this pharmacy, choosing to travel 7 miles instead to the local Boots to avoid the abysmal service of the previous management.
This shop comes highly recommended!! Well done!

This used to be a lovely friendly pharmacy, but I don't know what has happened. I have had nothing but bad experiences recently. Lost prescriptions, denying that prescriptions had ever arrived there when the GP confirmed that they were checked in by the pharmacy several days earlier, customers being ignored despite three or four members of staff being present (not even being told 'I'll be with you in a minute', just completely blanked), rude service, long waiting times - more than once have I waited for over 90 (!) minutes (without being told it might take a while and could I please come back), prescriptions not being ready when I came back a second and third time after being promised they would be done and so on. Unfortunately my GP sends prescriptions here automatically since COVID, but I will do everything in my power to stop this and stop using this pharmacy. Other members of my family have also had bad experiences, and several other customers have stormed out with similar issues while I have been waiting. Never again.
No idea was going on with this pharmacy used to be really good but now loosing prescriptions or saying not handed in wen i handed prescription in myself bad attitude won't be back. Hopefully be better wen it gets taken over
Shop seems to be the pharmacy equivalent of Brigadoon.
It takes on average 3 visits to get any prescription as it is invariably closed due to random lunch hours, earthquakes, and horse attacks. I can only assume I’ll get lucky sometime in the next 100 years.
Avoid at all costs.
I recently moved to the area from Mayfield and my prescriptions are automatically sent to this pharmacy now. I have nothing but issues on every occasion trying to collect these. For example, I had a prescription emailed across from my GP at noon on Friday, I went to the pharmacy at 12:30 on Saturday to be told it had just been received and will be ready lunchtime on Monday. I went back today (Monday) at 1:30 and was told the same information & to come back at 3pm - which I am not even going to bother doing as I'm not wasting my time to be sent away, again. I never had this level of service at a far busier Lloyds (right next to the local surgery) so not sure why the service here is so different. I have also had several issues with my daughters prescriptions, one time my partner waited 1.5 hours as told they were putting it together and then he asked how much longer it would be, to be told they didn't even have it. Shambles. I contacted my daughters GP as this medication was urgently needed and they told me they had sent it hours ago and the pharmacy should definitely have it. I'm not sure if its due to Covid19 or if they have other reasons (short staffed maybe?) but I am requesting my GP send my repeats to another pharmacy as I cannot rely on the turnaround, particularly for important medication. I don't think I am the only person having this issue as on many visits here there has been customers complaining of the same problems. Hopefully these issues resolve soon, but they definitely need to be highlighted.
Sign on the door states closed for lunch 1-2 it's now 14.47 and it's STILL closed. I have now seen at least half a dozen people stand at the door before giving up and going away! This is the 3rd time this has happened. Ridiculous!!! Not acceptable at all.
