A great little place in Gullane, bright and busy with good quality coffee and dog friendly. Located close to the beach path, it’s worth a stop for a refreshment after a beach walk.
We were in Gullane for the day and visited t bakery/cafe ... what a lovely experience it was.. from the moment we went in we were greeted and helped at the door as my friend was in a wheelchair... lovely cake (ginger and lime) I had a fruit scone, with home made raspberry jam absolutely beautiful.
We wil definitely visit the bakery again!
While the cafe was looking nice initially l, the member of staff was absolutely horrible without having a clue of how to maintain good level of hygiene in the shop. The waitress came for the order and she left to prepare our coffees, she had a viral infection and while she was coffining and cleaning her nose with the same hands crabbed the cups from inside and try to make our coffee.
The toilets were discussing as well!
When we told them. They were trying to come up with different excusses and they were pretending that they don't understand!!
Humbly I believe that the staff should be trained Better!!!
Nice little Cafe, friendly staff. Provides lovely homemade cakes, scones and biscuits. easy access to the toilets and allows dogs All in all a great place for an afternoon tea.
They make the most amazing bread! The brownie was massive but sadly did not deliver on taste. It was gooy beyond belief. I enjoy a gooy brownie but this was borderline not baked! Couldnt eat it. Really lovely staff! Prices are high, but overall, lovely little place to grab a coffee and some of their delicious bread!! I'll skip on the brownie next time.
Good tea, excellent fruit scones, generous sized takeaway coffee (ideal for a walk on the beach - ask them to fill up your flask!), really nice wholemeal bread. Lovely friendly staff.
Friendly staff, gluten free cake and sandwiches are awesome. Only down side is they put coriander in every soup they make (even lental) so if you don't like it don't get the soup. Everything else however is brillaint!
It was nice. It looks amazing, which got me all excited, but it doesn't deliver what it promises, which got me all disappointed. It was good though. Don't get me wrong. It was comfortable and steadily busy.
