Plenty of tables, good spacing and value.
Steak overcooked and not the Ribeye promised, spaghetti was very over cooked and saucy. But, there was good taste and reasonable value, so couldn’t complain. Would I visit again, probably not, but - I would recommend it for the wary traveller looking for some grub and a nice beer. A* Barman - very friendly and accommodating.
Food was incredible, service was fast and everything was cooked to perfection.
This place is a hidden Jem for great food.
Even if your not passing it’s definitely worth a detour to go here and try the food!
Very friendly little pub all staff were great.
Absolutely lush beer garden with super friendly staff, the best chips I've ever had AND zero 0% Corona beer. You have made this pregnant customer very very happy!
Really beautiful food, Chicken curry, carbonara, fish and chips and veggie wellington, and it was delicious. Made to feel very welcomed by everyone, it was very busy with no empty tables, so book like we did. Excellent service and very friendly staff.
Everything was just right. Lovely service. The food, both in quality and portion size, were really good. Can't complain at all. The lady who served us, and the younger girl who also works there and checked on us couple of times, were professional and sweetly human at the same time, which is always a winner anyway. Especially when it's busy, but they still managed to smile and show care. (The staff seemed to be overwhelmed with serving us at the dining area, and the drinking pub at the other area). I think the prices are also very reasonable. We would definitely be back if in the same area again.
We visited restaurant and its an good place, we had Sunday roast ????
It was yummy and made us full.
They provided additional vegetables and sauces. Food is really good and worth the try on Sunday.
Character pub in charming village which serves very good food. Was able to bring the dog and sit in bar area, service was excellent, and prices very reasonable. Good menu choice with several specials also on offer, looking forward to a return visit soon
Chose to try out the Goose and Cuckoo recently for a birthday meal on a family holiday - was not disappointed! We went on a Wednesday so had the pleasure of attending Abhi's curry night. Gorgeous food, wonderful staff, friendly atmosphere and beautiful building. The value for money was amazing (large plate of curry, rice, chips, poppadoms and pint for £12.95!) and the food was clearly freshly made with care. Brilliant desserts too! We were all disappointed that we didn't have the chance to eat at the Goose and Cuckoo again before going home - thank you for a lovely birthday experience!
