I have been here a couple of times now it was recommended by my auntie and I tried the food when I went round to visit the food is excellent I highly recommend
Had to queue up like the chippie. After about 25 minutes, we received our order and proceeded to take it back home. Only to find that the beef and black pepper sauce was laced with salt and the sweet and sour chicken tasted like vinegar. So hungry and so disappointed, the worst Chinese meal ever. Not recommended.
It's a take out and on an exceptionally busy day the large team runnjng the Golden House did a great job of keeping an extremely large number of people happy with the speed and accuracy of orders. The food was great too!
Sorry guys sweet and sour chicken was bland and rubbery.
Large spring rolls didn't look or smell to great straight in the bin sorry

What a wonderful little village chippy this is. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Lisa in particular always welcomes me with her lovely smile. It can get very busy so waiting times can be long but it is so worth it as the food is delicious.
Sharon the owner is an asset to the community and she takes the time to greet her customers even though she is run off her feet as she is so busy. She knows her regular customers orders off by heart which is a lovely touch. I have called previously and said "I'll have my usual" and she's remembered.
If your in the area visit Golden House. You will not be disappointed.
Our favourite Chinese, been going years and never had a bad meal.
I ordered special fried rice, there was hardly any meat which should have mixed meats 2 pieces of chicken char su just loads of gristle, and a lot of white rice in balls
Service was as usual very good, but portion sizes were very small and we was told there was price increases we haven't been for a while but was very expensive to other local Chinese restaurants given what we actually received probably go elsewhere in future unfortunately.
