We spend a lot of time in Sheringham but have never used this takeaway before. After going to the theatre in Sheringham tonight and not having eaten we decided that a meal to take away might be nice,my wife loves noodles so we thought we’d try a Chinese.We went along to the Golden bowl in Wyndham street and ordered not knowing what to expect. 15 minutes later we picked up our order and took home. What a super feast it was ,the sweet and sour chicken balls,noodles and chicken rice were top class. Thank you so much G B we will definitely be back again to sample even more of the delights you have listed on your menu.
Great takeaway. Good value. Not greasy. Especially liked the chow mein as it was veg packed. Our beef dish was really tender too.
Food is good for a Norfolk takeaway but it is getting quite expensive but everything is now a days not so simple to have a cheeky Chinese, the people who run it are really lovely and where you wait for your food is very tidy and clean if not a bit cold ????
When I come to visit my Mum, I always cone to you as your food is amazing.
Way to salty for me, but I'm not massive Chinese food fan personally. I always have the same thing where ever I go. But the " fu yung" or omelette confused me as it looked/ tasted nothing like I've ever had before. Both me and the wife woke up in the night gagging for water as our mouths were drier than gandhi's flip flop.

So I recently visited Norfolk for a weekend away. I was not not keen on the restaurant I was staying at so I ordered Chinese from the only place that was close enough. The take away shop was clean and easily accessible with a clear sign. The lady who attended to me was a native from China and was very helpful despite her struggle with the language. I explained I was vegetarian and wanted something specific not on the menu. She assisted with clearing my confusion and I ordered. I had the tofu (named beancurd on the menu) with black bean sauce and mixed vegetables with rice noodles. The food took about 10-15 minutes to prepare and was piping hot when she provided it. She took my cash payment. No card payment option was available to me. The food was mild in comparison to what I am use to but one thing that did put me off was that the tofu was deep fried!! When I ate the tofu I could taste the oil and that really put me off. Plus I could see a thick layer of oil separate from the black bean sauce too. The vegetable selection was better that I thought it would be. It had broccoli, carrots, spring onions, cabbage, bean sprouts and bok choi which is pretty much all I ate from the tub. I'd say this place is average compared to a lot of other places I have tried. I'm not sure of the other items on the menu for vegetarians but I know that the tofu is deep friend so I know I would not try them.
Used for impromptu takeaway. Quick helpful service. Good portion sizes. Thank you very much.
