I had a disappointing experience with this Chinese takeaway. The delivery was incredibly late, leaving me with cold food. The salt and pepper chicken wings were a letdown, tasting downright disgusting. I won't be ordering from them again.
Absolutely amazing food!! I would never use any other Chinese for my treat. Everything Salt and Chilli is AMAZING! haha! Thank you Golden Bowl for every single meal worth paying for and also lovely staff and delivery drivers ???? xxx
Orderd tonight...disappointed to say the least. Nearly a £50 order...prawns in garlic sauce were tasteless and watery, hard veg and overcooked prawns. Hardly any meat on the bbq ribs. Overall not worth anywhere near the money paid. Disappointed and out of pocket as most went in the bin
I had the £12:80 pizza box with chips, spring rolls, spare ribs, salt and chilli chicken wing, a tub of fried rice, a pick of one of four sauces ( bbq, sweet and sour, Chinese curry, gravy) all are tasty, popcorn chicken and a small bag of prawn crackers.
The food is really nice.
The staff really friendly.
Well worth the price for what you get.
The price is now £13.80 just to let you know which is still awesome there is a larger box too for £20 which is perfect for a big eater like me.
Moved to Stoke on Trent in August, we needed a nice Chinese takeaway and we found it!! Been here 4 times now and every time it was lovely, food nice and hot, love the special chow mien among others dishes I can recommend golden bowl ????????
this place used too be amazing, paid over 30 quid for this food and it was shocking, this place has really gone downhill, every other time i’ve ordered it’s been lovely but last night was absolutely shocking, didn’t eat any of it, overcooked and dry noodles when they were meant too be in sauce, no meat on the ribs, shocking.
The food from here is lovely I have always enjoyed but ordered tonight for my birthday meal. Ordered nearly £30 worth of stuff which includes 2 House Special Chowmeins which I always have from here because my daughter does not like noodles and they come separately. They send Special Chowmeins where the noodles are mixed with meat so I rang to say order was incorrect, the lady on the phone was obviously busy and probably just got our order wrong. After debating with her she asked if I'd touched any of the food which I said I'd tipped one of them out onto a plate. She asked me scrape it back into the tub and they would send us the House Special Chowmeins and swap them. I did say that they could send me just the one because I had already put one out but she said that it was ok. Which I thought was rather bizarre due to covid circumstances etc??? Swapping one would of been fine!? The other Special Chowmeins arrived and the delivery driver (different from before probably the owner) looked really annoyed and demanded I paid the extra £1.20 difference which I refused because it wasn't my fault they sent the wrong food. He then snatched the other Chowmeins out of my hand and walked off in a huff. The Very rude indeed. Will not be ordering anything from here again. Don't fancy eating food someone else has probably sent back????
Always had a really good meal from here, and they're happy to customise/leave out anything that you don't want. The WonTon soup for instance is the best I've had from *anywhere*
