It’s a joke!!! Rang at 3.30 pm not at the times when it’s like the starting point of the London
Marathon for appointments still on the phone for 50 minutes. Phoned as they have made a mistake with my medication as I will run out well before I can reorder them. To be told that they will have to put it in front of a doctor for them to prescribe it. Told the Gestapo that I would run out on the 12/4 and she’s put it in front of a Doctor for the 16/4!!!! It’s not rocket science love if I have 56 tables prescribe and I take 2 a day, they will run out in 28 days. I am not making it up!!! Deary Christ!!!!!!!!
What a nightmare, I have asthma and a chest infection so tried to get antibiotics on repeat. Was told to make an appointment but none available today, was told to go to a walk I centre so I did, yes a 6 hour wait. The whole NHS has gone to pot, no appointments, no doctors and certainly no sympathy. If I die overnight do I get an emergency appointment?
My father has experienced a lack of medication for the third month now.When a doctor increases Amlodipine from 5mg to 10 mg a day, why cannot he have that each month? The pharmacist never has it for him because the computer says "no" & the GP wont respond & sort it. This is a let down &
Been calling for nearly a week now just for a phone call appointment to finally get through today to be told no appointment left It took from 8am till 8.40 to speak to someone I've got a chest infection just need antibiotics to be told go to a walk in centre well if walk in centre have less doctors but more people to see why carnt our own doctors see or call us what are they getting paid for ? Looks like we all have to start going to walk in centre to make sure we keep well and safe from now on .......
Can only go on my own experience, but the person I spoke to was very professional. Organised a telephone appointment some time during the morning. A doctor rang me about five minutes later. Organised treatment for me, I am more than happy, considering the pressure they are under.
11 month old baby with diarroea for 1 week. Tried calling numerous times to be told to call back later... what the he'll does later mean?!?! 10 mins, 20 mins, 1 hour what?!? Extremely frustrated with the service! Sort this out Glen Lea!
I think Glenlea surgery is improving. It is still hard to get an appointment, but much easier than it was a few years ago. It's great that you are told where you are in the queue when waiting to speak to a receptionist. If you call at the right times you can pretty much always get an appointment - at least that's my experience recently. Definitely big improvements!
The GP experience in England is an absolute shambles right now, and no one seems interested in fixing it.
If you need an appointment then you better hope you called at exactly 08:00 and you are one of the first in the queue, otherwise better luck next time! Please try your luck at the 12:00 lottery instead.
Need to go to work? Not a luxury you can afford if you wish to book an appointment at the doctors! You must remain on hold until you get through to the receptionist, then you must be available at whatever time they give you.
How is it possible that in 2023 we STILL can't book appointments in advance? Why can't we book online?
I appreciate that the government are doing their best to destroy the NHS, but I feel like Glenlea could be doing things to make getting in to see a doctor an easier experience. Or at least actually possible...
