After a lovely walk with my mum for her Birthday, we decided on a bit of food and hot drinks. All very lovely, in a clean environment, with great service. Even better that Father Christmas was visiting and my mum got to have a picture with him. It was free for anyone to come and see Father Christmas and children got a present off him and also had the chance to do Christmas crafts. Not a lot of places do free events like this, so a must with my daughter for next year.
Love visiting this place. Great staff, love the coffee and cake after a wet but excellent hike through the forest. Well worth the drive if you want to unwind and take in the lovely surroundings this area as too offer.
Forest is fantastic, but the cafe was an utter letdown. The coffee was tasty, but poorly made - I asked for a flat white, and received a watery white coffee... The staff were pleasant but did not make us feel welcome, and seemed to struggle with their roles, even though it wasn't busy at the time. The Caffe is in a beautiful converted barn, but there was no heating, so was bitterly cold on a 2°C day. My advice to visitors of the forest - save your money and bring your own refreshments. The staff will probably thank you.
Brilliant place really grate food keep you going and grate place to visit parking can be a bit pricey but if spending the day why not grate long trails for MTB Ridding .
Fetched the kids here to do the interactive gruffalo trail and it was an excellent experience w loved it just as much as the kids and would certainly recommend it to anyone who was thinking about this.
This is not a pram friendly route when we went. People had tried to drag prams around.
A great little place to start a walk or bike ride around the many tracks.
Excellent facilities and a good cup of coffee. We had an excellent walk too.
Absolutely fantastic place to take children, lovely walk, well thought out and only £3.50 to purchase a super snake trail pack, well worth it.
