We used the ginger viking to host a baby shower. Alex was great at providing us with all the options for the event. We went for a small buffet that was laid out really well and tasted great. He was even considerate when it took us a little longer to pack everything away. Thank you ????

Celebrated Chris' hen do in style ???? ???? ladies night, karaoke ???? and cocktails ???? Saturday how it's meant to be. Even us drivers were catered for in the cocktails and shots. Great choice of sharing platters with really hight quality food. Such a nice environment for a night out and the choice or drinks was amazing. Even some Ginger Viking creations ????
The decor in this establishment oozes quality and class- almost Hollywoodesque in fact.
But even that is upstaged by the knowledge of the staff, and the mixology skills of business owner Alex. And the flavour of the cocktails poured here will linger on your tongue for a while and remain in your memory forever.
Award winning and highly recommended all over the country, it is worth going to Blandford Forum just to visit The Ginger Viking.
First time, personally this is my own views, we got there at 7pm place empty, ordered drinks and my beer order was forgotten so had to remind them, background music very loud and place was in my opinion “cold” finally got my drink, we ordered the sharing platter which was very nice but no bread and asked if we could order chips but that was a NO as don’t do them ?? No one came over and asked us was everything ok, finally managed to order another drink. Then it wasn’t until a group came in we overheard the bar staff SAY TO THEM it’s two for one on certain drinks, something they never told us so obviously they only offer to groups, have to say first time there and last time as a couple as only accommodate larger groups in customer service Which is a shame when I thought business would cater for all customers wether it be couples or groups, but again this is only based on my experience, and can only review on my experience and hope the ginger Viking can accept the feedback and improve
Amazing place making the most delicious sandwiches loaded with the most amazing cheese/ham and edible flowers. The bar has also have an outstanding selection of locally brewed beers. I tried IPA logic which was one of the finest hoppy IPA's I have ever had. The staff was cool and very awesome. Would highly recommend visiting this place if you are around!

Went after hearing and seeing reviews of warm and welcoming atmosphere. We didn't feel particularly warmly welcomed/greeted. I'd mentioned it was our first visit but was met with silence. Lack of chat and banter from, I assume owner (?) was a bit awkward and uncomfortable. Nice food platter with cheeses salami and chutneys. Unfortunately freezing cold room and atmosphere put us off staying longer which we were intending to. Sorry to say also that the ladies toilet needed a deep clean on our particular visit.☹️
