Spot on fish and chips for me and my dad. He's 93 years old so I was very pleased to have some of his too... It was pretty busy on a Friday night, so there must be others who enjoy it too...
Lady very miserable and un welcoming. The smallest portion I've ever seen, chips squashed into a tiny bag. Over cooked cod. Very expensive for what you get. Don't waste your money
Chips were rock hard, all 3 portions re frying them is no good, I'm a chef and it's not the 12,3 time I've had this 12 pound on chips that u can't eat a joke same womon same excuse, I'm done with that chip shop. Evan the dog wouldn't touch them,
To say Poor would be an understatement. The chips were well overdone and tasted as though they had just been left in an over to harden. They were dry and chewey. The haddock which accompanied the chips was over fried, dry and burnt. Avoid this place at all costs to save yourself multiple trips to the loo!
Rude owner asked if anyone wants fish so I said yeah and asked for a fish cake he said there wasn't any so I said dam he looked at dead pan and said what did you say I replied dam .he again said what and again I said dam again he said what so my missus said he said dam with that he turned around and walked away so I thought I'd get a sausage instead and then I saw this guy putting sooo much salt on these chips it would preserve them for eternity at that point I decided to walk out of their and i will never step in this shop again glad I went to Churchill's instead because it was banging!!

Glad to eat at Gingers! Do encourage and support this kind of small business chain as well equivalent to McD/KFC:)
The food was great even accommodated the fact that I wanted a Steak n kidney pie with my Saveloy and chips it's just a same that when I got home it was still chilled in the middle... and had to microwave it so it could be eaten...
