We only stopped off for a quick drink as we had been visiting Hereford for our possible new home location.
But, the gentleman behind the bar was very friendly and polite. The service was excellent. This is such a beautiful location. We sat outside in the garden, a beautiful quiet place. I highly recommend it.

Lovely pub, what I call a "proper pub" with "proper pub grub"
Had a lovely evening here while visiting the forest of dean. Really friendly landlord and locals! Highly recommend the gamekeepers pie, absolutely delicious!
Great prices, excellent value for money, we came out really full from good food, a bit merry from good beer and hadn't broken the bank!
Dog friendly too.
Will certainly visit again if we are ever near again!

Lovely traditional family run pub. Food is incredible value and staff very friendly. We sat out in the garden with the dogs, would definitely come again. 5min drive from bracelands camp site.
Great pub highly recommend, really lovely atmosphere with pool table ????, darts bored ????, jukebox ???? and even a games table ???? can’t wait to go back here ????
We booked to have lunch, I should have known when the place didn't even have a website - after we were seated, I leaned over to my kids to say, Now this is a REAL pub. Food was absolutely fine, the Sunday roast included a free dessert, which my kids were very pleased with. Good service as well.
The Gamekeeper's Inn is not for someone who's expecting a gastropub experience. But if a local pub where everyone knows the innkeeper is your bag and you don't mind things a bit older and less polished, you won't go wrong with the place.
Food average,service very slow and half the menu unavailable. Certainly wouldn't rush to come back.
A lovely pub for lunch always great value and Lawrence the landlord is very welcoming.
The food wasn't great, vegetables were overcooked and the roast potatoes hard.
Having said that it wasn't expensive so make your own mind up. For me though overcooked vegetables is a big no-no as it isn't difficult to do.
