My go to butcher. As a foodie, a person that’s cooked on TV, a person with butchery passion yet a rank amateur - and someone that makes and sells food to the public…….
I have never had anything except exceptional customer service, 6* produce and backup from a team I would never doubt.
Literally the best butcher I’ve ever known.
What you want you get. They’ll even serve you up a bigger cut and advise how to butcher it- if that’s your thing.

Stopped in on a whim as we were passing through (and they were open) and wanted some steak for dinner. Very impressed with the quality of meats and knowledge of the butchers, very friendly. Got a bit of a masters class in different cuts traditional and non-traditional. We cooked up the ribeye which was delicious and looking forward to the other things we also bought (as we bought a Sunday roast too). Was well worth the stop, prices are decent for the quality and will hope to be back as unfortunately we don’t live close. Wish more butchers our way were like this.
Fabulous family run butchers shop. Great service from friendly staff. Super selection of products including spices, marinades and rubs along with pork pies and other savouries.
I have been going here a good few years now . Sausage rolls & Pork Pie the best i have ever had .By far the best Butchers in Lincolnshire.
Excellent, quality butchers, knowledgeable staff, variety of products/choice and advice always available if unsure of cooking method, amount required or type of cut. Good, high quality meat at a reasonable price, you can certainly taste the difference from supermarket cuts.
Best butcher's around, the pork we had at Christmas was amazing.
We use this butchers all the time, all year round and have never complained or had a problem with anything we buy. The meat is never filled with water to make it look bigger than it actually is (like supermarkets do), and there is always a big selection on offer - even if it's not on display they may have it in a storeroom or deepfreeze.
The joints of meat are of restaurant quality, fillets of chicken are enormous, sausages and chipolatas are great, and the bacon is thick enough for a decent manwich and tastes excellent!
The butchers will prepare anything you ask them for and cut meat to the exact size you'll need. They also sell a variety of burgers, pasties, sausage rolls, cheeses, and lots more.
Taking pride in your work is on full show here at Shearer's. Their prices are premium but you'll not get a poor cut of meat ... and that's a personal promise.
One thing that does frustrate me, but seems typical of anywhere with premium produce, is that you have to ask the prices of pretty much everything. Maybe it varies if they like the look of you ? ????
