The service was great even with the young girl on her own and the burgers were amazing.. a little but lovely place. Would definitely recommend.

Me and my partner are there last night. The waitress was very helpful as we are on a low carb diet we had salad and mushrooms instead of chips. We had 1 20oz mixed grill and 1 30 oz mixed grill. The only reason for leaving 4 stars is because we both asked for steaks to be well done and both were pink inside, my partner managed to eat his but I could not. Didn't like to send it back as I had poured garlic sauce (which was very nice) over the top. Have been there before and has the burger and chips which was amazing.
Please note that reservations are likely required in the night, based on our experiences, or you're in for a multi-hour wait (ours was over 3 hours on a Saturday night).
The environment isn't very nice due to its proximity to 1 or maybe more pubs so be prepared for activity and noise outside and inside. This isn't particularly Grills Steakhouse's fault as they have to start somewhere but it does effect the customer's experience.
The availability of the food wasn't great as they did not have any mixed grill ingredients or ribeye steaks which is what I wanted but, again, this isn't particularly Grills Steakhouse's fault as they said they hadn't had their delivery and it was a Bank Holiday but, again, it does effect the customer's experience.
The starters are quite small and not great but that seems to depend on what you have - it applies to my BBQ ribs but not my girlfriend's chicken wings.
The mains are where everything changes. I had a 16oz T-bone steak instead (I still don't know what it was exactly but I was told that it was the same price, tastes better, and is a better cut) and a small Peppercorn Sauce and my girlfriend had a Double Bacon Cheeseburger. We both agree that the sauces and meat were very nice and the chips are amazing!
Overall, relatively cheap, fast (depending on when you go, I imagine), and tasty.
First time going, searched a few days before and this place had the best reviews, staff were so nice and helpful and the food was incredible. I had the chicken bacon and mayo burger and my partner had the steak and they were both beautiful! Dessert was incredible also. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs a nice night and a full belly. Only insignificant minor was that they had ran out of stella haha. Great place.
Great food and service, staff are friendly, Its only a small restaurant so you have to ensure that you book in advance to avoid being turned away. The food is beautiful and they made their own chips which I liked because you don't get that in many places nowadays it's usually just frozen chips so that was nice aswell for those who love homemade chips. I have only been here once but I am definitely considering going again in the near future.I would definitely recommend this place.
Its go big or go home... still with a stomach full to the brim, Burgers are the best in Wales and you can chose how big you want it (up to 112oz) and some good variety in toppings and styles. the sources they have there for the food are awesome too with exceptional taste.
Grills Steakhouse is one of the best restaurants Pontypridd has to offer, and honestly it's one of the best to be found in the UK!
Fantastic food and excellent service from the wait & kitchen staff is always to be found here. Incredible quality burgers & chips, steaks, chicken, ribs, and desserts. They offer challenge meals to those with big appetities, or lighter meals for those with less. They also offer an excellent childrens menu for the kids.
Grills Steakhouse is the only restaurant I have frequently returned to over the past few years because of all of the above.
It is an absolute treasure!
