The food was tasty but it was not as warm as other chippies which are steaming hot, chips were dry but the mushy were yummy. After spending £4 on sausage, chips and mushy peas; I didn't even get an offer for a better fork. Lucky i carry one. The staff are friendly.
The funky fryer is a good traditional fish and chip shop. The fish and chips are always very good. The patties ( a hull speciality) have a nice flavour and texture. The staff are very friendly and the service has always been good. It is a convenient fish shop for me as there is so much free parking.
Food was lovely especially since there chips are amazing at the min n my food was red hot n the service from the staff is brilliant always smile n very polite
Called in last night 24th jan 2024 at 6.30 and was told it was to late to get any food so had to go elsewhere won't be going again so lost a good customer
Usualy love this please the food fine but after going in this weekend and seeing a poor young girl having to cook serve dish up all on her own cause another woman didn’t look like she was with it at all has put me off this place it was packed and they was arguing clearly stressed out this young girl shouldn’t be doing all this practically on her own is it even legal needs more staff won’t be returning ????????

This is the best chippy I've been to in hull however sometimes fob you off with portion sizes such as large chips sometimes come small. But chips are lovely and soft so I always go back for more as I'm a grafter.
Chips all raw absolutely rank gravy all over the paper and chips all stuck to paper gross.
