Was fantastic to sit by the beach and have Fish n chips at Fryer Trucks. Fish was definitely fresh and tasted amazing! Would definitely visit here again. Lovely accessible seating area with an amazing view!
Decidedly average fish and chip, saved by great view. Fish was freshly cooked and the oil wasn’t burnt, so tasted good. Portions were on the small side, but hot! Not sure I’ll be beating a path to get there again, but it was nice enough.
Fish and chips cooked to order in a wooden shack yards from the sea, melt in the mouth batter and well cooked chips, what more could you want. Outdoor eating area with spectacular views of challaborough bay.
Great little chippy in a ticked away location. Beautiful scenic setting right in the beach front. Pub is next door. The guy who runs it is friendly. Seating area is available. Lovely to sit and eat and watch the sea. If like us, your at a local camp site and just too tired to caml cook.. This place is perfect.
The gluten free fish and chips were the best ever! Only recently gone off wheat and they were the best fish and chips I've ever had! Tasted delicious and wholesome! And the service was so kind and friendly ☺️
We had a meal here whilst staying on holiday and it was excellent from the word go. The waitress was lovely and attentive. The meal was tasty with good portions.
We also went into the takeaway part a few times over the 10 days we stayed there and absolutely no faults with any of the food. My kids loved the chicken nuggets, I loved the scampi, and we all thought the chips were the best chips we've ever had.
I can't wait to return next year!
Visited August whilst on holiday. One man trying to cook for the whole show, there and the so called restaurant/diner adjacent. All food appears to be frozen. Had fish and chips. Fish okay, chips well over cooked and the wait after paying up front was over an hour. NOT impressed. The whole establishment was in need of a good overhaul. Had booked and paid a deposit for the restaurant/diner before realising the setup. Same scenario. Many dishes off the menu. Long wait for the food available and when it arrived it was over cooked. It takes a lot for me to downgrade a place but this one really deserves it. Will not return that is for sure.
We stayed opposite fryers tuck and got to meet with Steve. Fantastic gentleman, made us some of the best fish & chips we've ever had. Highly recommend the food and service you receive from Steve. Looking forward to going back to Bigbury-on-Sea and having fish & chips.
