First time eating here last weekend.
Chips were really nice.
Burger, though! Dry bun, no cheese, and a thin, tasteless burger. I know its a fish and chip shop, but if you're going to sell it, make it tasty, please!
Excellent fish and chips best I’ve had for a while. Batter crispy and handmade chips. Would highly recommend
5 of us tucked into fish and chips and sausage and chips on 1st June absolutely amazing. Was a bit apprehensive after some of the reviews but ours were great. Dry crispy batter over thick white cod. Old school chips definitely beef dripping and very reasonable price.
Ordered 3 cod and chips and a cheeseburger. The fish was quite nice but the burger was not very nice the bun was dry and there was no cheese in the burger. The chips had bits of grit in them!
Nice crispy batter and tastey chips. Really nice white cod which was really fleshy. Saw the lady freshly batter the fish and prep new chips in the fryer for my order. Only reason I didn't give 5 ⭐ was that the shop closes at 20:00. Expected to open a little later.
Really disappointed, got 2 fish and chips to takeaway. Obviously been hanging around too long in the heated display, the batter was thick and stodgy rather than crispy. One piece of fish was definitely off and uneatable, but by the time we realised we were 10 miles away and too late to take it back. Been before and it was good, so I am hoping this is a one off.
Really great Chippy, placed a very large order for collection, not one thing missed and the fish & chips were delicious, we had to travel 7 miles back to the campsite and they were still piping hot, brilliant, we will definitely be placing an order on our next trip
Absolutely fantastic chips. The battered cheeseburger ???? is to die for.
Travelled 120 mile round trip as this chippy is so good.
(We used to have our caravan at Street head then moved to Flaxton)
