Have used this chippy for years under the previous owners. Since the new owners took over around 2 years ago the food has been hit or miss but I kept trying them as all chippys can have bad days. The chips are more often than not inedible and if you have a burger the roll is soggy and dripping as it’s presumably microwaved from frozen. The prices are very high compared to other chippys I go too.
Worst takeaway and chips ive ever had ! Chips were cold and hard in parts. Salad on the doner meat and chips was wet and leaked onto paper and all other food. I wont eat here again, a real let down. Also there should be the option to pay with card.
Still good food. Service is fine for a takeaway shop, unsure what people are expecting in their reviews. Cost is also typical for fish and chips these days (Dec 23). Tastes good!
Ordered fish and chips had to wait 10 minutes so popped into co-op when went back in it was just being put into a carrier bag. Got home to find it was cod/fish nuggets and chips. Won't go there again.
Very nice food but over priced. Five quid for a small cod.And more cash only.
Food was both raw and burnt yet it was so hot it literally burnt my hands servise took 30mins just for a fish and some chips absolutely ridiculous
Absolutely disgusting I got food for my nan last night and hour later started vomiting and having diarrhea and have food poisoning don't order from here risk of getting food poisoning.
Overall ok... If I am honest I would go some where else one in shawbury is lovely!
