Amazing. I had the pizza and it was cooked fresh, definitely homemade and the staff was amazing. The staff we're so polite and even gave the timing of how long things will take to cook. I would highly recommend!
I always look for a fish & chip shop whenever I go away somewhere. This chippy is definitely 5 stars. It's the village's convenience store too, so you'll be able to buy some essentials too such as bread, butter, milk, etc.
They are very friendly. I asked for a large cod and chips. When they served up the freshly fried battered fish it was so big I said "I don't think I'll be able to eat all that." It was twice the size I'd get at home.
I then said "Now I just need to find a peaceful place to sit and eat this ..." and they told me about a secret lake known only to the locals just south of Cleator Moor. If you want to know where this lake is, then you'll have to go into Frizington's Chippy and ask for yourself or read one of my other reviews ...
Just visited at closing time. Made to feel very welcome and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended. Thank you for staying open a bit later for me.
Always a pleasure to visit my local chippy excellent family run small business always happy and always willing to accommodate requests, can pre order via phone but this was a spur of the moment decision and very worthwhile the fish was fantastic and the curry sauce is always a hit in my house
