Just popped here with friends for a couple of drinks. First time. Pleasantly surprised. Proper English pub, good service, friendly locals. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the ladies toilets. Lovely little pub. Will definitely be back
I wanted to play pool. There was a family on the table, which was fine. I offered to pay for however many games it would cost for me to play one game. We played, a normal game, until I started winning. Then for some reason I was playing the wrong color. I made a complaint and I'm not allowed back.
Apparently bar pool is more important to this pub than customer service.

It was an annual event called The Fox Fest ???? last night and it was brilliant! Food available until late along with drinks inside and out, under the marquee. We went a little late on but it had been going all day. Great atmosphere.
This was a friendly traditional country pub with good beer and a nice atmosphere.
Going to watch Carlisle United v Grimsby Town called in The Fox for a pint and what a find the Tetleys Bitter hand pulled it was gorgeous and friendly staff too if you like hand pulled beer give it a try if you in the area ????
This lovely traditional pub is in Ulceby and we found this after travelling around the locality being disappointed with the other pubs we came across. This local pub is full of locals and they do a nice traditional Sunday dinner without all the fuss and crap that you tend to get at a lot of places. The people here are really nice and are relaxed. Thank you The Fox Inn.
