We had a lovely roast lunch at the Fox and Goose on Easter Sunday. Everyone agreed that the food was wonderful, a generous amount of meat, crispy roast potatoes with very well cooked veg and lovely gravy. All the puddings ordered resulted in empty plates all round.
The staff were friendly and attentive.
We will definitely be back :)
Lovely pub with a nice friendly vibe. Does an uncomplicated and delicious menu both at lunch and dinner. Good garden with copious space for kids to roam too. Dog friendly inside and out.
Let us stay overnight in carpark in our motorhome as field was too wet. Enjoyed a few drinks chatting with the owners, staff and locals before indulging in a burger and chips that were both filling and possibly the best we have ever tasted. Will definitely return one day.
Nice pub .A little slow with food but it was two nice meals. Pleasant staff. Can eat both indoors and outdoors. Car park as well.
Beautiful setting and lovely walks. Stayed in the campsite free for a table booking. The service was good and very attentive. Food tasty. Will defo come back again!!

I recommend The Fox & Goose 100%. This is the ideal place to visit if one is walking along The Basingstoke Canal.
It is going to be closed for a month. I am under the impression that it shall be in August. Thus, it is prudent to check.
The members of staff were very friendly and they all had a good sense of humour.

***We visited this place again in July 2022. The person who runs this place stated that the renovations shall not take place in August, but they have been postponed. The place was more crowded than it had been on previous occasions. I also added a few photographs. We really appreciated the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.***
A lovely pub discovered at the Odiham end of the Basingstoke Canal. The lady behind the bar was very friendly, and the service was faultless. I can recommend the pork belly, and the treacle tart for dessert. The specials all looked good as well. We will definitely go back again.
The best roast dinner I've ever had in a pub.
Absolutely fantastic staff. Very dog friendly also.
