Can’t speak as to the quality of the coffee, but we saw a sign outside saying they do pizza night on Fridays and Saturdays. We treated ourselves to a Wild Garlic pizza and a Mediterranean one, both were delicious, we had the option to eat in or takeaway but decided to take them back to our airbnb after a long day of hiking so we could have a quiet night in. Would definitely order them again the next time we’re back!
What's not to like. We were camping nearby and popped in most days. Great coffee from an independent coffee roaster; freshly baked bread and pastries; delicious breakfast cobs; Nice atmosphere inside a delightful old building with seating outside. Only slight quibble, they close Monday and Tuesday ????
Good coffee, in house baked pastries and bread also really good! And lovely atmosphere! If you're are in the area and love coffee this is a must ????
Lovely tasty toastie and friendly service
This was such a pleasant surprise. We stepped in here during our last day of the stay at Youlgreave and this place delighted us. The breakfast was simple but amazing and the place is super cute and has a mix of modern and local feel. The food is freshly made and locally sourced. We noticed that the breads were flying off the shelves. So come early if you can. The service was impeccable. If you are around I would strongly recommend to pop in for breakfast or lunch. Though the place is closed on Mondays and a Tuesdays so please check that!
If you happen to be lucky enough to go through the beautiful village of Youlgreave, you must stop at the Fountain View Bakery. Recently set up, it offers the most delicious food, all locally sourced and freshly cooked and baked on the premises. The menu is creative. Alex will cook you mouth-watering breakfasts and lunches. We had 3 different combinations of cooked breakfasts on Sunday, all delicious and efficiently served by friendly staff. One of our favourites was French toast with syrup and whiped cream. As for the pastries, they are incredible: light, tasty and we recommend the cinnamon buns although all are delicious. Coffees were served hot and perfect. Fresh bread, sourdough and more is available in this wonderful place but it goes quickly!! We can't wait to go again.
A real gem!!
Popped in here for lunch yesterday. A lovely airy space with outdoor seating too. We asked for a veggie version of a sandwich that was on the menu and the chef obliged with no problems - and it was flippin' delicious! Great coffee too, and lovely smiley staff. I'll definitely be coming back - it's gone straight on my list of faves! And in such a beautiful village too - it's a must for a walk, a cracking brew and fantastic food.

My family worked our way through most of the menu during a two night stay in the youth hostel (attached).
Locally sourced meats (black pudding was the highlight!), and on-site baked breads and pastries.
