Don't waste your time - find an alternative garage. I only tend to leave reviews when I’ve been pleased with a service, but unfortunately I want to warn people against wasting their time and bringing their vehicle to this garage. Upon taking my car to the garage, they were informed they would need to conduct an MOT, fix the passenger window (the button no longer worked), and get rid of the engine fault light (the ABS sensor (quoted £80) & post CAT sensor (quoted £0 as they said they could reset it)). Upon calling the garage (multiple times within the 5 weeks they had my car at the garage) for an update on my car, they informed me at the time the fault had been sorted and they were waiting for the MOT guy to come into work? After 5 weeks of waiting, and on the day I came to collect my car, the fault light was still on (they still tried to charge for this service). It took exactly 5 weeks for the garage to conduct an MOT and fix the passenger window of my car. Don’t waste your time. I’ve since taken my car to another garage to fix the fault as undoubtedly the garage would’ve had my car in the garage until 2024.
The best local garage that I have found. Extremely hard working and honest staff. Always very efficient, good prices. Top service. Highly recommend.
So helpful & show great care for the customer. They genuinely want to make sure you're set right and they're charging you fairly. Never had any nasty surprises, in fact I've been charged less than quoted when they've realised the problem wasn't as difficult as first thought. Very honest. The only issue is how popular they are, you need to make sure you get there on time or your slot might be snapped up!
This garage was good the first time we used it but now we have been without a car for more than 7weeks and they just keep giving excuses after excuses as to why they still havent fixed it..! I think they have now done something wrong to it and now cant get it to run when it was before!! They keep saying they will sort it today but dont do anything with it day after day.. very annoying and very unprofessional. If they cant fix cars they shouldn’t be a garage! Or even just say tht they cant fix it rather than just keep us wondering when they will actually work on it and we can have the car back - over 7 weeks!!??
Have used this garage 3 times over the recent years and always impressed with the service. They are very reasonably priced, it is an excellent garage for students (and others of course) they have also done their best to make sure I get my car back as soon as possible. Highly recommend !
Work was quick and priced fairly
Shocking service. I phoned to have a leak in my car fixed, was told they were too busy that week so arranged to come in the following week. In the mean time I had a mechanic diagnose the leak so all it needed was some silicone to fix.
Fast forward a week and I take the car to Foulkes and Sons to drop off. I am told the car cannot be fixed today, it has been snowing, so finding the leak would be too difficult. I understand (although they do have ample undercover space) so I leave, agreeeing to come back tomorrow. Next day I dutifully arrive once again, much to the surprise of the mechanic. I am told by two muttering staff members varying excuses ranging from, "it's too big of a job", to "you can easily do it yourself". They also advise I wait until better weather to have it fixed. The whole reason the leak is inconvenient is the weather!
My car still has a leak.
Don't waste your time with these jokers.
Great tradesmen with a plethora of knowledge on all vehicles. Affordable prices and manage to get my VW T5 in at no time at all. Would highly recommend this family business.
