We were down staying in Kensington on holiday. We came here for good Italian pizza and although it was nice,we both thought it was very, very greasy. The staff were efficient and polite. The atmosphere was a little dull. The customer next to us complaining about the food didn't add to the romantic meal it was meant to be but that's not the restaurant's fault.
I love this place and I would highly recommend it the place was empty for our late lunch/ early dinner the people were very kind and the food was amazing.
Visiting London from the US. We tried to get into the Spaghetti House and they turned us away without a reservation. We walked a few doors down and saw this place. I’ve always liked small Mom and Pop (small business) establishments because they are passionate and truly care, and put their hearts and souls into it. This place was no exception. I ordered the Veal Milanese and an appetizer of calamari. My wife ordered tortellini. The calamari was cooked to a T (perfectly done) and the veal was out of this world (better than excellent). And the gelato is to die for (another words, it was great). We made note of this place because the next time in London, we will be back.
The owner served us an he was so warm and friendly. He treated us like family
Delicious, Delicious, Delicious!! The spaghetti Carbonara was absolutely delicious ????, the pizza Italiana was great too. I add a little bit of spicy oil to the pizza, and it was even better.
The service members are lovely! I definitely highly recommend this place for authentic Italian cuisine
Quiet on a weekday at 1pm, but the food is freshly made, really very tasty, with generous portions! Very good value for money. Would recommend without reservations!
Too bad that we're tourists, and may not come by this street again!!
My friend and I went on Wednesday evening for a meal at 9:15 and we asked the man if they were still open and they said yes they close at 10. We ordered the fried calamari to share, 2 seafood pastas, a tiramisu, a cheesecake and a bottle of wine. The portion of calamari was really little and the salad in the plate was very tiny and joke. The seafood pasta was lacking flavour. The tiramisu and the cheesecake were the only nice thing. The lady that was present that night was rude, the man who served us said that we can finish our wine, the lady came to collect our wine glasses and we still had our glasses half full but she said that she wanted to take them away as they were closed at 10 but the it was just 10:15 and the alcohol license for restaurants normally end at 11 or 12 but she wanted to kick us out. The man who served us was very kind and told us that we could stay but she was in a rush to go home. My friend and I both spent £50 on food and wine and we did bot expect this kind of service from them. We will never be back to this place
Found whilst looking for somewhere for an evening meal. It has a small front but is big on quality. Cheeses garlic bread starter was a good portion and very fresh bread with a perfect balance of garlic and cheese for me. Great service and wonderfully cooked food. The Veal special was melt in the mouth good! The apple pie dessert was perfectly cooked and perfectly flavoured. As others have mentioned the I love cream is delicious. Service is swift and attentive but not intrusive. If I’m back in the area I will be back to savour more of the menu.
Not sure if this restaurant is Asian friendly,. Elderly lady server seem reluctant to serve and placed us all the way back near the wine cellar, on top of that, another elderly server kept giving us the stare and very roughly placing our food on the table. 4 star for food ,unfortunately zero for service. We will never visit again..Terrible Service!! Very rude ,they practically cannot wait for us to finish and go off...As a frequent visitor to London,.I have to say this is not going to be my choice of dining at such an Italian restaurant, I would recommend the restaurants at Leicester Sq area,..they are more welcoming for all ethnic races...
